Word up to Northern Lights. That stuff was some of the first headies I ever toked upon, and to this day a well-grown Northern Lights is my absolute favorite herb. It may not be the strongest but its a beautiful buzz.
Haha, maybe it's true that herb makes some plain stupid. Naming different strains is essential, otherwise all good weed would be dank which would be just boring. Although I will admit many dealers will label their pot so they can turn a bigger profit.
Anyways NL seems to be one of the top favorites of the thread. I love it personally, I also enjoyed NL#5xHaze which was just perfect blend. Too bad it's one of the most expensive strains available from Sensi seed bank($350 for some seeds,most expensive i've seen), their Jack Herer and Silver Haze are also amazing. You also can't go wrong with NYC Diesel, shit you can't go wrong with any of Soma's all organic strains. Other great plants: Kali-mist, AK-47, The Hog(Hindu Kush x Afgani),NL x Kalimist and good old blueberry are strains i'd smoke any day all day.
Oh and everybody quit bitchin and keep smoking. The cannabis forum should be mellow if ya'll wanna be hostile go over to OD.

If it's grown with skill, your tolerance is adequate and your hits are big enough then yes but that would count for most good bud I think?

I came on this site to research other drugs and discuss them but I do pride myself on already knowing quit a bit about about marijuana 
. Good genetics can only take you so far. but if the bug was cut at the end of flowering and was cured correctly it is an extremely potent smoke. Will hit you real fast and hard, if I were you I'd hit it hard before I got to high to not be able to smoke the rest

i love the taste and high of AK-47, I would say its not as harsh on the throat or mind as the name might suggest.
I have only smoked trainwreck, ak-47, powerplant, blue, silver haze and something i heard was called "garlic" but I don't know to believe that or not...
blue and the powerplant were the best for rolling joints because they burned so evenly. silver haze gave me the biggest surprise because of the intensity of the sativa high. ak-47 was really happy mellow and smooth and was one of my first strains so it has nostalgic worth for me... overall my favorite is actually the strain called "blue" for its overall ease and calm of high and for its rich psychedelic properties.
I used to think strains were total bullshit, but after a few years I would say that SOME strains you get from medical dealers are at least significantly different than generic street good stuff.

The point of the old trainwreck thread was to see if my characteristics were like that of any1 elses. Like did the dude just name it trainwreck or is it like the strain trainwreck any1 else has had.... sorry if i didnt put it right last time. My bad. Dryness- doesn't have to do with strain - sounds like yours is too dry
Trichomes - you usually need a good strain to get THC covered buds(turning the color of the bud to light green or white) but a good strain is no guarantee at much THC if you don't grow it right.

We really can't say by your description - a description of the high would even be easier, but still nowhere near easy. Look for some pictures on the internet(seedbanks, overgrow dried harvests) if you really think looks define a strain

The trainwreck on there looks nothing similar, looks alot more like the g13s below it, but not many hairs and more crystals... yes its overdry for sure! Seen some other shit today bubbleberry?? was drunk when i seen it but got me geeked and was tasty and smooth, should get some tomorrow
Picked up a bit of Purple Kush It was all purple bud/almost absolutley covered in white frosting( havent seen any frosting like that since widow) and tons of orange hairs.... had a pleasant smoke very fruityish tasting also hashishVERY STONEY!!! has anyone else had this strain and was it simiar?

NYC Diesel (NYCD)- USD$25 per gram.
Having quit cannabis for several weeks prior to this sampling, I was once again aquainted to the pleasant scent of cannabis. However this time my nose was in for a tasty christmas treat. While tearing the buds, a fine scent floated around, making my friends ponder whether or not a skunk had died next to a lemon tree.
When the task of breaking up the bud was over, I realized a plethora of crystals were glued to my fingers, definetly the type of bud you want to break apart on a mirror!
After I finished loading up the bowl, I sprinked all the kief I found from my fingers and jar on top...the 1st hit goes down VERY smooth, the taste is part sour, part skunky. "I'm lovin it"...I remember saying. After finishing the bowl, I felt very focused and energetic with a slight twist of "mind-fuck". Awesome pot to socialize and do stuff. NYCD being a mainly sativa plant, I thought that I would get a little paranoid when smoking this bud. Not a slight hint of paranoia was encountered during my clean 3 hour high with an ever so pleasant 1.5 hour comedown. I HIGHLY recommend this bud!
