[MEGA] Cannabis Strain discussion thread

Plenty of people can get White Widow, there's no reason to doubt bluntmakerRACH did.

I've smoked a variety of top quality homegrown headies but White Widow remains my favorite strain. I'd suggest packing small bowls out of it instead of rolling it up,.. you'll get a lot more mileage out of that precious herb :)

i jus said it cus ive noticed alot of people on these forums talking about how they get "purple haze, white rhino" etc. when its obvious they dont know much about marijuana, and when someone tells u their selling white widow, 50% of the time it probably isnt real white rhino.... and btw, Purple haze is non existant anymore, just to get that straight. if you have purple weed, it does NOT mean it is purple haze, theres over 200 strains of purple bud

^^ Yeah that's what you get in America.

Here, close enough to Holland, we don't get names 99% of the time from dealers, who cares really? Only the kids that like to be tough and name all the d4nk buds they smoked, no one I know over here is like that(or it's because I don't want to know them).
And when we do get the name, we know it's the true name, or it's because it we got it from a coffeeshop

If you liked White Widow try White Russian. Its a hybrid of White Widow and AK-47.It'll blow your fucking socks off.
I'd have to say its the strongest stuff i ever smoked, with a real clean high.

Here in America I have my choice of locally grown top quality cannabis. The strain is never in question because I am only 1 or 2 degrees of separation from the grower. Usually a grower specializes in a single strain, or just a few strains, and sticks with it, continually improving his crop. Lately growers have moved away from hydroponics to organic soil using guano (bat shit). In the fall we have a great selection of tasty outdoor buds, grown as nature intended.

I will not name the strains which I have frequent access to because I don't want to be a douchebag. The point of this reply is that you should not generalize because "bfisher" obviously has never seen a quality nug in his life and therefore thinks nobody else does.

The fact is the BEST cannabis in the world is found in ANY country where people can get some quality seeds and put some effort into making sure they are subject to prime growing conditions. Obviously these kinds of growers exist in almost every country on Earth.

Okay, let me tell you this, coffeeshops sell anything they can get their hands on for anything they can think of.. Most aren't allowed to have more as 500 grams of pot a day. So they can't stack up on strains.. It's just one or two strains being sold as white widow, PP, white rhino, whatever. Don't be so sure of the strains you're getting from the coffeeshops.

I hated the idea of not knowing what weed i was smoking.I mean come on,your paying good money for a product its nice to know what your getting so if you like it you can try and find the same stuff again.
I mean you wouldn't walk into an off licence and just ask for alcohol not caring what type they gave you.
How hard is it for one word to travel down the line of dealers to the end source-not very.

[edit] you can most def get real purple haze still...and you are right purple buds don't mean purple haze, I have scene purple budded bc's but my friend I most def have had the haze among other top notch buds and when you know the grower you know the weed

I also have heard the original purple haze is non-existant. Hmm.

I can already see everyones mouth watering.

Well instead of trying to act all smug telling us that there is NO WAY we'd ever have smoked purple haze how about telling us WHY that is? I'm interested because one would generally just think that if you're a home grower you could easily get your hands on the seeds to grow it. You obvio9usly know something about this that makes this impossible so do share.....

^^
Yes. Though I wouldn't be surprised if somebody, somewhere has maintained the genetics.

It's not so easy as it might seem to people. Genetics are hard to keep if they're being used in various new crosses. Purple Haze was a pheno that was set aside when the Original Haze was developed, supposedly a pure sativa with purple traits, not an Indica/Sativa cross to get the purple in the Haze again.. Long gone.

There are lot's of strains nowadays that are awaiting the same future.

^That's totally not true. Well, yes, spotting and discoloration is indiciative of deficiencies, but some strains are in fact naturally orangeish or darker green or blueish or red..purple..white....
