eh, not my pic, and I dont know where to get seeds anyways, so, I dk...
Really disappointed...what a shitty day...clones, guess I should throw them out too...*sigh* Ill wait to see if this peice of shit is a hermy, but I doubt it...

Im praying to God that im wrong and those aren't seeds, but they look exactly like that , which is suchhh a bummer. Blahhhh

can I just keep the damn plant , flower it, and cook cannabutter with the leaves? and plant the seeds or whatever, or will the seeds all be male.

It wont grow any seeds, you need a female to make the seeds and a male to pollinate the female. You'll be growing pollen sacks. You can grow it out those and put the plant into cooking onces hes done.

Hmm, would it be worth it , or would the yeild be low to the point that Im just wasting time, should I just rip it out , get some femmed seeds and replant? or what.

And is it bad to start a seed in a 5 gal pot?
Is it better to start in smaller things?

I would order some fem seeds and rip it.

It wont really matter wheather you start in a big or small pot, although I find it easier starting in small cups then tranplanting.

Got Northern Lights Femed seeds , how long do seeds last? I Wanted to plant 1 by 1 by one, and be able to take clones and what not, I can do that right?

Is it okay if I start posting pics here of my new grow , so I dont start a new thread.
I wanted to just , start another grow, and if I have probs , come to this thread, if thats alright.

Seed's last ages if you keep them stored right. Fridging is probably the best way, but you can get away with with just keeping them in a ziplock in a draw or something.

No probs with starting 1 seed at a time, keep piccies coming.

the only thing you can do is harvest the pollen and use it to breed...but since you don't know what genetics you have,.....its worthless.....this is my worst fear come true....I thought I saw balls a little while back in one of your pictures.....I was really hoping I was wrong....you can't make cannabutter or hash oil or anything out of it because it will not produce resin glands....or I should say, It won't produce any usable quantaties of resin glands.....it will have a few to protect the new growth....but they soon fade...and its not the same kind of resin anyway......sorry my friend.......just pull it out and trash it and move on....:(

no......its not wise to plant like that for the reason you just found out.......if the plant turns out male,...you've wasted all that time......plant 10 or 12 seeds....

i planted 6 hoping for at least half expecting to have a bit of extra space in my grow room. of course all 6 are female and i now am running out of space.

^^ find a remote field nearby n do one or a few outdoors

if u only have space for some, and u didnt intend on having 6 indoors anyways then why not

now i understand most cities dont have as much urban sprawl as Texas cities do, but u should be able to find a decent field somehwere close, no?

woah woah woah? I cant plant femmed seeds 1 by 1?
and keep cloning from there?
I had mentioned in an earlier post, I just got 10, femmed Northern Lights seeds, that does mean the will most likely turn out to be female correct? and if they do turn female, I can just have one plant going, and continue to clone that? and have 9 seeds left over, for, well, when the clones and the mother die I guess, the seed we've all been watching grow on this post was just a seed out of a bag of some bomb ass bud, so I figured Id keep the seed and try it out, well we all know what happened. I was just hoping I could do what I did with the male and just get it up to around 20 inches, and start taking clones from it, and just using up the mother for as long as I can or want to...
Then, plant a new femmed N.L. seed when Mother dies or just gets old and needs replacement.

I don't have the storage space to plant 6, nor do I even need that much bud, more like a hobby for me right now, (I've got room for 4 plants max. I'd be comfortable with 2, maybe 3...

There are TONS of fields near my house, I know people have grown in corn crops and what not...
I'd rather keep it indoor, as I dont want to be seen going to the plant if that makes any sense, I just dont want to get caught, especially when Im getting my card in 2-3 months.

Anywho, so, my 10 femmed seeds Northern lights cant be 1 by 1 (the seed I planted this froem was out of a bag of some really bomb weed I had, which is why I guess I shouldnt have been so surprised to see a male. Ill be taking it out tomorrow.
Along with both clones, both of which produced roots and started growing (pulled them up today)

Anyways , sorry for the confusion if there was any, just curious about that...thanks

*If I were to find a field , and do a few outdoor plants, what would be the chance they get found in the crop/field? I live in a small town, so, people see everything.

ah yes,...if they are femmed seeds you will be okay.....I didn't know that.....keep us posted...and all was not lost...you certainly learned a lot from the last project....apply that knowlege to your new grow and I'm sure you'll be satisfyed with your results...

pulled out the big male today, noticed when I rubbed the stem a little my hand got sticky, not sure if it was from the resin glans or what,so this thing really isnt worth cooking with? I already threw it away, but, it smell is still on my hand, and all I did was pull it up from the soil, and, should I keep the same soil for the next plant or should I go buy new stuff (I've ran out of soil ) lol
Im guessing this soil probably has alot of crap in it?

And hopefully, Ill be growing HPS by the time I start my NL in a week or two, just got my old Job back sunday, so I can buy stuff now :)
Woo woo!.
And the light bulbs will be free, (tons where I work,)they have 100 watt and 250 watt mh and hps, I just dont have a ballast :P

Question, when it comes to Vegging/Flowering, can it all be done with HPS? or do I have to switch when flowering.
Same with MH, can I veg and flower, or do I have to switch sometime in there.

Cannabis stems usually smell quite nice when you snap or pinch them. Unless you had heaps more leafs/plants to put into the cooking then it'd be worth trying to cook.

You can use HPS or MH through out the plants life. Most people use HPS though as it's better for flowering.

Well, I cut down the male, kept all the leaves and sacks, dried them all out in a brown paper bag, I may or may not cook with them , might just throw them out, not sure yet,

Germinated two Femmed Northern Lights seeds, they just pushed through today(both of em), so , Ill post some pics in few days here when they get their first leaves :)
here we go again.

Okay, Now that I've got a job back, I've actually got money to spend, now, I know what to buy as far as nutes and lights go, (hopefully I can afford some HPS after a check or two)
But, I was curious if I could grow two plants in one of those plastic storage bins for clothes, than go in the closet, I dont know if anyone knows what Im talking about, they are maybe a foot and a 1 1/2ft up, 3feet in length, and about another 1 1/2 in length, I was thinking about drilling 4 holes in the bottom for drainage, and putting it inside another bin, if water ever did happen to get through (doubt it would)
But, would that be enough soil for two plants? Ive got two feemed NorthernLights seeds, would it be a bad idea to plant them like that?

i have seen people using beds with great results. I think that sizeis a bit large, it only needs to be about 10 -12 inches high to have sufficient soil for the size plants you plan on growing and using CFL lighting.

alright, well Ill just keep them in sperate pots I guess.
I was looking at HPS lights today, I cant find the ballast in the store, I even asked 2-3 diff employees and they said they dont know where to find it.
but they know which Isle to send me to. lol

I just bough some peatmoss, perlite, wormcasting, 5-1-1 fert, should I buy some lime or soil acidifier? I saw both at the store, didnt know which would be safer?
Would using a ScrOG be helpful in getting more yeild, or should I just tie down the branches from the main cola?

I'm just now using a scrog build up, and yes it does increase yield, BUT I also top my plants, so I have multiple main colas to deal with.

Scrog is a lot of extra work. Your first time, you probably want to learn simple training techniques first, like tieing down the branches and some pinching as well. Especially if you are not topping your plants, I would recommend against Scrog for your first harvest.

As for the PH, I find it easiest to use a PH down solution in the water I am feeding the plants with, instead of messing with the soil directly so much. In the long run, it's probably cheaper than lime or soil acidifies you are looking at.
