Meeting New People

Hey,

Title says it all. I moved to CT about 7-8 weeks ago, but still haven't managed to meet anyone here. I usually just go into NYC and meet up with my friends from college.

Honestly, I'm not looking for pity, but it's getting fucking depressing. I have made attempts (half assed) but still, to going to the bars in the area; but it's difficult meeting people when your by yourself.

Advice would be much welcome on where else I could try and meet people. Bars are not working thus far. I don't even care about meeting guys, I have enough friends. I would really like a female companion/someone to party with on the weekends, just so my life can be balanced with work.

Tomer, why not get an interest that gathers girls? it would not be something that attracts guys, but that is what you want, something that mostly girls participate in, but one that you will also enjoy! You will be surprised in classes that are missing guys, the girls are too thrilled to see someone, they will gather around you! Just an idea!
