Meds for Swollen Gums

I tried ibuprofen and T3's, but to no avail. It's not a tooth that hurts, but the gum between and around the tooth. I just tried flossing that tooth and it hurt LIKE HELL. What's the go-to drug (or something else) to get rid of swollen gums?
 
My gums get a little sensitive after I have a teeth cleaning, and my dentist says to rinse my mouth out with warm salt water.

There's always Ambesol too.
