Medicinal Kratom

I know Kratom is often used for a more sustainable and forgiving substitute to Methadone. I know Kratom is often used by people who are interested in natural opiates or something different.

I am aware of the Kratom Vault on Erowid.

What i was wondering is if there are any sources i can find to learn more about Medicine Oriented Kratom use? Im looking for both first-hand accounts, health info (though erowid may provide info on that, if anyone has anything to add in regards to erowid's info on the Health problems, benefits, and uses associated with Kratom i would be very interested in either a post in this thread or a Pm. if the info is valuable to the community at large please choose to do a post).

This thread was inspired by someone who is having pain issues and needs an alternative source of pain relief. They are currently considering kratom for when they are out of their vicodin. I'm working on getting them a tree so they can have a long term self sustainable source rather than having to depend upon the shady grey market and such.

any info is both appreciated and thanked personally. i will be keeping an eye on this thread and the kratom vault from erowid.
