Medical card use betweeen States

I live in New Mexico and will soon get medical MJ. However, I plan to go to California in a couple weeks as well. Will a card from New Mexico be valid in Cali dispensaries?

I don't know for 100% certainty but I'm *almost* entirely certain that it wont be valid in any other state.

it wont be valid. i took mine from california to nevada and i got arrested for having an 8th of weed.

There are a few states that do recognize cards of states with similar requirements. I think CO, Mich, Montana, and NM are part of that..... but I'm not positive, and I believe it's also up to the arresting officer. As far as California, I don't believe they will recognize any outside cards, nor will anyone take a California recommendation outside of the state.
I have no idea how accurate that is though... it's what I've been hearing but I've not seen it documented.

Oh and my friend just moved back from Colorado, and it seemed that his card wouldn't work here, but he didn't try since he planned on getting a new one here.

Yea it sure will be nice when a medical mmj patient who is legit in the eyes of one state wont be arrested in another.

I can see why it does, states have completely different requirements. I'm not surprised that a card from Cali, where anyone can get one, isn't valid in NJ, where you basically have to be dying to qualify iirc.

I know that Montana will accept California issued pot scripts and recommendations.

I wish Nevada would just get it over with and pass their own medical pot measure. California electricity rates are killing me ! It costs as much as rent/mortgage each month to run any kind of decent sized setup, even running at night.
