Mecke Question

Hey all, quick question for you.
I recently tested a pill, i scraped off some of it into a very small pile and applied mecke solution.... nothing. BTW the pill was a really shitty press, very crumbly. So i decided to test it again just to make sure..the knife i used to mix the solution with the crumbs had a drop of the mecke solution on it and when I went to cut off some more of the pill the little drop soaked into the pill and reacted with it pretty quickly with small specks of blue. So im wondering, does this mean there is in fact some amount of mdxx in the pill? maybe just very little..
There were no other colors in the reaction, just blue.

You would be correct. However, I wouldn't take the Mecke-soaked pill. Be careful with that reagent, it's poisonous.

Don't eat anything that Mecke has spilled on. Try not to spill it at all! These are very caustic reagents. Handle with care.
