The "x's" are substitues, if you will, for the various forms of Ecstasy = MDMA, MDA, MDE, MDEA, ect...the difference in the letters after 'MD' being the way the 'raw product' (if you will) is cooked/washed/processed, ect.

That's about it in the easiest way to explain it, without having to use a MASSIVE spellchecker for the correct chem names. :-) The different 'forms' have distinctive 'feels' too, (very noticeable to some) once you have tried them all... *g* Hope this helps!

yeah that's about the size of it.
The way we test them here, we use reagent tests and they sometimes are hard to distinguish between mdma and mda and mdea in the test colour results, but they usually all get you pretty out there/high.
