This weekend my girlfriend and I decided to roll at an after-party following a big rave in the area. With no luck in finding pills beforehand, we were put in a situation where we had to find a trustworthy dealer at the party. After a bit of walking around we found some friendly ravers who were rollin balls. One of them sent a friend over who was offering both pills and 1 g of molly crystals. I got a good "vibe" from him (he didn't seem like one of those sketchy tweaked-out dealers desperate for more money to support his habit), so we swapped cell numbers and I went ahead and bought two. They were pink hearts, with the heart protruding out of the pill rather than pressed"in.
Within 45 minutes of dropping my g/f and I got a lot more sociable and started looking around for people to talk to. About a half our after that I got that tingling sensation that comes with the roll, followed by mild euphoria. And goddamn, the generic techno that was being spun started to sound a lot better.
On the way to another party, I had an intense conversation with my g/f about some deep issues in my life. I remember describing it as an emotional enema. This alone made the experience worthwhile. I also had a great conversation with my sister, who's out of state.
I started coming off the peak at the second party, but felt like I was on top of the world. I was so loose and at ease. The sunrise looked more beautiful than normal (although not mindblowing). Stopping by the grocery store on the way to the party, I chatted with the cashier for a bit. I wanted to keep talking to her, just to hear her calming southern drawl.
After awhile at the second party I decided I was ok to drive home. I wasn't baseline, but didn't feel impaired... The comedown to this point had been extremely easy. An occasional uncomfortable rush would pass through my body, then quickly subside.
I noticed some time dilation on the way home. This feeling of slowed-time time would continue for the next 3-4 hours. After getting back home, my feelings of well-being went away and I started to feel completely drained of energy. I guess I was naive in thinking the "comedown" had already run its course. At this point my body started doing the typical things...eye wiggles, jaw clenching, etc. That's to be expected. But whenever I stood up I'd become extremely light-headed and dizzy. There were a few times I got up to take a leak, but had to sit back down. At one point it was so intense I felt like I might pass out.
I finally managed to fall asleep a few hours later, as the physical symptoms were replaced with that mental cracked-out feeling. I finally felt "baseline" later that evening. There was no real "afterglow," but no depression either.
Some other thoughts and questions:
Overall, the comedown was a lot worse than I expected - definitely worse than my previous two rolls, and surprising considering how "clean" the roll felt. The normal symptoms like eye wiggles are easy to handle, but it sucks when your body feels sketched out/poisoned and you get dizzy when standing up. Is this typical of MDxA? I've heard that MDMA comedowns tend to be very easy.
The pills weren't the least bit speedy. In fact, the roll was very chilled and mellow. I don't think the pill was adulterated with anything. But I still didn't experience many of the "typical" MDMA feelings; I wasn't loved-up (just real chatty), had no visual tracers, and my sense of touch wasn't heightened. I wonder whether this is because my dose was low (typically 1 pill around these parts doesn't have the 100-120 mg of MDMA that most suggest for a "full" roll), or the pill contained another MDxA substance. Maybe two of those hearts would've put me over the top...but I hate to think about what the comedown would've felt like if I had. My g/f actually dropped a second pill about 4 hours after her first one, and also came down hard - even to the point where she was afraid she might die for a few minutes.
