**Note: This is not my personal trip report, but my experience helping out a friend who did.
My friend shot up a high dose of MDPV and started suffering from mild fever, hot flashes, dysphoria, and complete lack of body heat. His veins, which normally protrude above the skin, had sunk so low they were no longer visible. I recorded his heartrate, temperature, and diastolic and systolic blood pressure. Though his blood pressure was slightly lower than his normal, I know that he suffers from hypertension, so his latest BP was still closer to the healthy range than his normal rating. His heartrate was slightly elevated, but not by much.
I sat down and asked him exactly how much of what drugs he used, stressing that it was of utmost importance he tells the complete truth.
"Just MDPV," he responded. "You saw me do it up."
"That's it?" I studied his face. Nothing indicated he was lying (I can always tell whenever he is). "How much?"
"15-20mg?"
I froze for a second. This kid was a lot more sensitive to stimulants than I was--like one time, I made the mistake of giving him less than half my intravenous dose, and he ended up getting into THREE car accidents that day. (Don't ask, I wasn't there.)
I wanted to know WHY he did such a ludicrous amount, reminding him, "It's potent at 5mg."
"I've read people on bluelight taking up to 30mg orally with no problem," he reasoned. "Besides, we shot up 10mg that one time..."
"You idiot!" I slapped his forehead abusively (lol j/k, it was all in good taste). "That 10mg was shared between the BOTH of us!"
"Oh yeah."
I know from personal experience shooting up MDPV numerous times, that it should only be done in low doses, because of the severe vasoconstriction it causes. I figured his reaction was caused by a combination of the vasoconstriction, dehydration, and an imbalance of electrolytes. In stimulant use, it is typically sodium levels that become too high, threatening possibility of heart attack or stroke (hey fuck off, I'm a paranoid person okay). So I gave him some warm milk (to help vasodilation) and forced him to eat a banana by raising his potassium levels.
An hour passed however, and his conditions had worsened. In fact, his skin was now itching. Up until this point, he had been hiding under the blankets, and now he was shivering. I knew immediately then, from becoming familiar with it enough times personally, that this was probably a case of cotton fever. It was almost 3 hours since symptoms began, and something had to be done soon.
"You didn't use sterile material, did you?" I prodded him. "Did you wipe down the spoon with an alcohol pad, before mixing?"
He informed me that the spoon and the filter, were both still damp from previous use. Keep in mind that "previous use" was over 24 hours ago.
I inspected his injection site--nothing was inflamed or abnormal, but in cases of cotton fever, it is usually an indication that an infection has spread internally. Regardless, I applied Neosporin along with clotrimazol (1%) to the site, and prepared an antibiotic/antiseptic/antifungal remedy of raw garlic, apple cider vinegar, and honey for him to consume while I searched frantically for antibiotics--I always kept a couple handy in the house, in case of emergency. His stomach discomfort, nausea, and bloating upon digestion indicated that he was in fact, suffering from some sort of invasion. I handed him 1 500mg doxycycline tablet, instructing him to drink it with hot, freshly brewed green tea.
While waiting for the medicines to kick in, I took the opportunity to lecture him. "What did I say before about shooting up moist substances?"
"Always sterilize first," he droned on in monotone. "You were right."
Within 30 minutes, he had fully recovered. Of course, the second he was better was when he changed his mind that I was right about sterilization, or even about him having cotton fever in the first place, and claimed, "I was just freaking out, so I took some norco's while you were making tea. I think this is what made me better."
FREAKING. STUPID!!! It was then that I beat him into submission and took a piss on his face. (oh shut up im just kidding)
With that said, MDPV itself, when injected, is only euphoric in low doses. It causes SEVERE vasoconstriction otherwise--I can't even begin to tell you how much nerve damage it does to the genitals when used during sex--SO PLEASE be careful with this RC.
Final statement: STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!! That is all.
