MDMA with Liver Cirrhosis

Me and a friend of mine had planned a night out in which we both intended to take MDMA for the first time (at a dosage of about 100mg each). However, after a recent trip to the doctors, my friend has been diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis and was advised that consuming alcohol again soon could potentially be fatal. Would this restriction extend to the MDMA we were planning to take? I'm relatively unclear as to what degree MDMA works and potentially damages the Liver?

I know this is not much but you likely won't get more accurate info on this other than speculation.

"Liver Problems: Your liver filters toxins from your blood. Contrary to some rumors, there is no method of ingesting MDMA that will “bypass” your liver. While there is little evidence that MDMA causes liver damage on its own, people with hepatitis or other liver ailments may be vulnerable to liver damage if they consume MDMA."

IS T NOT COMMON sensethat using MDMA will be very bad for the liver and your friend and could kill!!!!!!!!! your liver filters stuff and MDMA is still stuff needing filtering and can and possibly will cause further damage to the liver.....stay safe and rave without drugs n booze.....get high from the music :)

Unfortunately, your liver filters almost everything entering your body, including MDMA. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's diagnosis and I'm sorry to say that, while he certainly could experiment and it would depend on how advanced the cirrhosis is, if it's bad enough to be diagnosed I would stay away from MDMA and alcohol :(

Yeah I agree with the above, if they have already diagnosed him with cirrhosis that means it's pretty advanced, which makes it potentially harmful when combined with drugs. Better to err on the safe side of things in this case, you only have one liver

Was your MDMA tested with a testkit by the way?

Thanks for all the replies, we will hold off on any experimentation for the time being. It's a shame this had to happen to someone so young. As far as getting it tested I did not. I did get it from a trusted source however and the fact that it is in crystal form and not a powder or a capsule increases my confidence in its purity...

Just an update, we did end up getting to experiment with 100 mg 2 months after my initial post. We both had a wonderful time without any negative side effects liver or otherwise.

Thanks for the update. Nice to hear you had a good time! Be careful though, just because you don't feel any negative side-effects doesn't mean there aren't any of course

The fact that you're getting crystals tells you nothing about purity, crystals can just as easily be cut with something else. Adding (untested) prefix
