MDMA vs MDEA

what is the difference in effects, and does a tolerance to one mean a tolerance to the other??? i got offered some quite strong MDEA pillz (tested) and am wondering if it is worth getting some...

While the effects of these two substances are sufficiently similar to make differentiation difficult, there are some significant subjective differences. MDE is somewhat less potent than MDMA, a typical dose being in the range 100-160mg (as opposed to 80-140mg with MDMA).
At large doses, MDE may somewhat resemble MDA (methylenedioxy amphetamine). Although MDE's psychedelic effects are less; it has a "stoning" effect for some people, and at higher doses can make walking or dancing difficult. Large doses of MDMA can have a similar effect, although it seems that somewhat more can be used without incurring the almost drunken intoxication.
In smaller amounts, MDE greatly resembles MDMA, although the physical and tactile effects are generally perceived as being less prevalent. The emotional opening and empathic effects for which MDMA is famous, although present with MDE do not seem to be as pronounced. Because of this more subtle effect, MDE has the possible advantage as a recreational substance over MDMA when used in public (such as at raves). With MDE, the user is less likely to embarass him/herself in public through inappropriate touching and emotional bonding while still being able to enjoy some level of heart opening and connection with others.
Additionally, MDE has a shorter duration than MDMA. While MDMA generally lasts 3-4 hours of full effects, MDE's full effects last more like 2-4 hours.

I agree with that above post, although i dont think we really know for sure.
Why is it that MDEA is quite stoning and MDMA is loved up. I think it is because MDMA effects both serotonin and dopamine, MDEA appears only to effect serotonin.
I find an MDEA pill propped up with some speed causes it to resemble an MDMA exp more closely.
What i find interesting however is that Shulgin himself, among others feels that MDEA causes a more intense exp, i.e i presume it releases more serotonin, forgetting dosage differences.
Why is it that MDEA cannot last longer than say 4 hours but MDMA if ur lucky can get to 6. The exp ends when u have used bascially all of ur serotonin, hence does this imply that MDEA causes one to use up serotonin faster than MDMA.
Perhaps the slower more controlled release of serotonin along with dopamine is why MDMA is so much better and has those loved up qualities.
Whereas MDEA causes the exp to be too overwhelming, too intense, and the serotonin effects without the dopamine are very stoning, u thus lose many of the more subtle enjoyable qualitites of MDMA.
It also follows that MDMA in a very large dosage can be stoning, so what i am saying kinda fits together, but unless anyone does brain scan studies or similar, who knows.

I've had "confirmed" mdea and "confirmed" mdma before. I can differentiate between the two because i don't have urges to hug people as much on EA and my touch isn't as enhanced, even at large doses. Also EA definetely stones me out more, I can still dance but it requires alot of effort. MA is very touchy and for me dancy, and loving

I think they both can be just as fun but in different ways, I find EA is great to talk with because you can release your deep down emotions without hugging someone you don't know

And biscuit, my theory on whats in perth pills such as the windmill and the old beige rolexs (6mnths ago) is that they're a mix because they don't feel like either of them on their on but have qualities from both

Not the strongest theory but i can't disprove it to myself yet

I wanna test it out by having half and half of an ea and ma pill.
