MDMA v.s. 3,4 Methylene Dioxy MethylMethylphenidate.

Well... If you can make a Methylene Dioxy Benzylpiperazine then I don't see why making a Methylene Dioxy Desoxypipradrol wouldn't be possible.
 
You can put a methylenedioxy ring on just about any drug that has a pair of free aromatic substitution sites. Methylenedioxy-acetaminophen. Methylenedioxy-ibuprofen. Methylenedioxy-amoxicillin.

But it doesn't automatically give some sort of "fairy dust" that makes a magical drug. Shulgin got lucky with the MD(M)A <--> (meth)amphetamine dichotomy but you'll notice he didn't hyperfixate on putting a MDO ring on every existing drug. Because there are more productive things to do.
