Stimulants MDMA use after 8 year break...was NOT MDMA..any ideas on what it could be?

SO I have not used MDMA for around 8 years. I always double drop and use to get absolutely SLOSHED. Nodding like I am on heroin and just watching porn. Sometimes if I waited too long in bed for it to kick in, I would not be able to get up and would hallucinate. (I stopped doing MDMA in party settings because I would get too horny and uncomfortable).

Anyway, recently at a club I purchased two pills. I was going to get a pill testing kit. I held on to them for about 3 weeks and gave in. I took both at once.

It kicked in within 10 minutes and I was actually getting worried if it was going to be too much. Then it hit the 30 to 40 minute mark and it did not get anymore intense. Just a nice tingling euphoria. I didn't clench my teeth, no eye wiggles AT ALL, music didn't even sound THAT much better. It felt more like a pre-workout. I even slept about two hours after.

It was pleasant, but was not what I was after. Anyone know what MDMA pills are adulterated with these days and what can cause these sorts of effects? Back when I used to roll, I NEVER got a dud or anything of this sort. Just either strong pills or weak pills (that were still MDMA).

Mild euphoria and tingling for about one hour, mild stimulation and positive mood. Mild music appreciation and could sleep. Also finished very quickly...

So fucking disappointing as I do not do MDMA anymore and this was a one off treat.

I spent the majority of the 90's in the rave culture. I attended them, DJ'd them, and put on several of my own events. In a nutshell, that shit was my life for a decent amount of time and I was pretty deep in it. There was this drug called MDMA, long before it was called "Molly", that went by the name "Ecstasy". It was cut with uppers, downers, vitamin b12 and whatever else dealers could think to use to increase it's potency or enlarge the batch so that more pills could be capped, thereby increasing $$. I was one of those assholes that cut it with vitamin b12 so that a batch of ten pills could be stretched to 12.

In those years I encountered "pure MDMA" a few times.. the effects were just as you mentioned.. mild euphoria, no teeth clenching or eye wiggling (what we called "the cash register", take your time with that one), and just a general sense of well-being and a connection to those around you. I was fairly disappointed by the experiences because I expected all the effects of "rolling". But those effects are caused by all the nasty shit its cut with, as the pure formula was not originally designed for all that. It was developed in the early part of the 1900's and used for couple's therapy and some psychiatric disorders. Eventually it was discovered to be a good party drug and people began adding uppers and downers to increase it's potency and relativity to enduring dance music at mind-deafening dB's for extended hours.

The irony of the name "molly" has always cracked me up because as I understand it, molly is referring to "molecule" as in it is the pure molecule. That one just makes me laugh at how absurd the notion is, as molly is certainly and absolutely NOT the pure molecule.. it's just false hype.

Short story long... what you got was not adulterated, but rather unadulterated. I am going by your description of course. The jaw clenching (cash register) and eye wiggling is caused by the crap they do adulterate with, and yes you can sleep on pure MDMA.
I could be wrong, for all we know someone gave you Xanax! Just my 2cents.

We can not do substance ID here as no one can tell you what you had... Why did you not use a test kit?

Also BTW there is no difference between molly with 150 mg of mdma or an ecstacy pill with 150 mg mdma as long as they are both uncut or contain the same cut and even then unless the cut it really active it won't do much. If you take 1-1.5 mg/kg of molly with a 0.5 mg/kg redose and you don't roll you got some bullshit molly. I have had multiple experiences with pills and pure mdma ordered off the darknet (nice big clear recrystalized stuff) and I can tell you there is not much a difference especially when taken at a rave. I got fucking floored last time I took MDMA.... I mean the time before I IV around 80 mg over 20 and 40 mg shots.

Also eye wiggles are not a sign of adulterated pills, but it is a good sign of overdosing on MDMA as well as jaw clenching. Leg bouncing and physical twitching is more like stimulant effects. Hallucinations could easily be MDA along with many other analogs especially out now adays. A lackluster, but similar effect could be any analog of MDMA. There is no way to tell what is in a pill by taking it and that could easilly lead to death if there is PMA or PMMA.... Seriously test your pills people or at least use pillreports...
