I have been feeling kinda depressed last week, nothing was enthustiac to me, it felt more dopamine downregulation than serotonin but not sure. Anyway last sunday had LSD + 2CB + MDMA the trip was very shallow, no big conclusions but very wild and extremely euphoric. I preloaded for MDMAfor first time with a shit load of supplements: 120mg Coenzyme Q10 (on top 60mg 30h before), eat 4-5 oranges, 150mg Green Tea Extract 4'0%, Strong Vitamin B Complex Time Released, N-Acetyl Cisteine 1G, Creatine Monohydrate, L-glutamine, Taurine, and Arginine alpha keto glutarate. Im guessing it was the MDMA with some supplement caused the upregulation since I had trips before with LSD+2CB or even MDMA (without the antioxidants) that never left me feeling better like now, and normally the week after with MDMA is extremely horrible (the reason to use 3 to 5 times year).

Im now sleeping much better, having really good dreams, and enthusiasm / focus came back again! Is there any literature for this possibility, upregulation?

Not that i know of. But i do know i always feel better than others the week after rolling because of pre and postloading. doubt its upregulation tho.

Never took Arginine before MDMA myself. Did you take it to limit vasoconstriction? Im googling it now lol.

120mg Coenzyme Q10 (on top 60mg 30h before) - Very good antioxidant, halflife 48h

Eat 4-5 oranges - I choose oranges over supplements since Vitamin C without Bioflavinoids has very limited bioavailability, basicaly the vitamin c from pharmacy is crap if it aint natural bioflavinoids s (got a great promotion of oranges in Dirk Van Der Broek, also live in NL ehehe)

150mg Green Tea Extract 40% = Very good antioxidant

Strong Vitamin B Complex Time Released = Expected to increase the role via relaxation with all vitamin Bs at +1000% recommended dosage and contains also Inositol / PABA / Choline Bitratate

N-Acetyl Cisteine 1G - Multiple range of health benefits incl. antioxidant see this thread might increase the roll via Glutatheione production but more neurotoxic effects at same time (??). Worth noting it was my first time ever taking this supplement, probably the reason something changed?

Creatine Monohydrate - Increases energy / resistance, and serotonin levels too.

Taurine - Increases neurotransmitors and resistance.

L-glutamine - Various benefits, more for better recovery.

Arginine alpha keto glutarate - Mainly vaso constriction but has more health benefits.

_________

Next addition to m supplement stack will be Alpha Lipoic Acid - water and fat soluble antioxidant that fully prevents mdma neurotoxicity in animal tests.

If working out brain chemisty was as easy as "feels like dopamine downregulation" then we'd have cracked the brain years ago. So many variables, so many factors that it's impossible to know what, if anything, any of those supplements did. Probably worth taking anti-oxidants based on what we know but you can't stretch this to saying that various regulation systems were altered in a specific manner. This is classic Bluelight amateur-neurology. What you can say is you took supplements and don't, as yet, feel as bad as usual. That's worth reporting It might mean they're worth taking. As soon as you start talking about regulation, it's becomes fantasy land.

The ALA experiment was done by injecting it directly into the brain as was the MDMA itself. It was done on rodents. Whether any of this carries into oral injestion in humans taking E orally is unknown.
