MDMA Spiked or just not MDMA?

At a festival, my friend having done MDMA before and other drugs, got offered what she believed was MDMA for free.
However after doing a line, her eyes where all bloodshot, then 10 minutes later she was beginning to freak out. She said she needed to get water and leave, knowing it wasn't mdma she had taken.
Her eyes began to roll back into her head, however when I told her to focus she could look at me.

She seemed very disconnected from everything, but had been drinking also.

Any ideas on what is was she had taken? or why they may have given something else?

Without a proper test, we have no way to know what she took, sadly maybe some thing of cathynone?

As nightElf eluded to, there's no way to work out what someone may have taken based on anything short of a test kit or lab analysis results. Especially when the 'symptoms/effects' you described are that vague and common. It's a bit reckless for anyone to take guesses on substance ID, which is why it's against the rules here. It may not make sense to you at first, but doing so actually goes against harm reduction

You should be very wary of drugs at a festival, especially if you have no intentions of testing them....ESPECIALLY when they're given to you for FREE (I assume by someone neither of you knew) 8( 8( 8(

You should take this as a lesson on why everyone needs to test any new batch of drugs they obtain before ingestion. Test kits are easily available and cheap, especially when you consider it's your life you're gambling with.

I hope your friend ends up fine she should, if she avoids all drugs for a little while as well as eats healthy, rests, and gets a bit of sun and exercise

Can't really tell you much more than what's already been said :D if you're wondering why we don't allow substance ID here, have a look at the forum rules, it's explained in there. I'm going to close this thread, as advised she should really invest in a testkit, there really is no way around it as she saw for herself and there are far more harmful chemicals out there sold as MDMA than what you describe.
