MDMA Seizure Potential

Hi people, basically about a month agol after dropping LSD, about 3 hours into the trip I had a seizure and was taken to hospital. My question is whether I should take MDMA again, as I am aware that the drug lowers the seizure threshold.

So would there be an increase in risk of myself having a seizure again if I did roll?

Also, I've done MDMA a handful of times and never had any issues.

Yes, like you said it does lower the threshold. Whether is a realistic chance of it occurring - I'm not sure. A few epileptic people have reported using it without havin a seizure, but even so I wouldn't advise it.

If you do, make absolutely sure that you're testing it, and keeping doses reasonable (no more than 250mg). If you take some ecstasy that turns out to be a mixture of speed/MDMA (which is reasonably common), the chance of a seizure is much, much higher.

Be extra cautious.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I generally don't take more than 220mg a session. I've read that generally seizures occur from mass neurological stress, and LSD is much more mentally stimulating than that of MD. Yeah, I always test my gear, so it's all good on that front. My friend who I will be rolling with is a voluntary medic, and we will also have some benzo's on hand as well.

Ok pal, sounds like you're pretty down with what's going on anyway. In reality, I'd say that taking the doses you are of tested MDMA is pretty unlikely to cause seizures. I'd imagine most problems arise with higher doses and stimulant combo mixes of untested 'ecstasy'.

I finally got the chance to roll and I'm glad to say that I had no problems at all. Ended up taking around 140mg with a 60mg redose. Although, I was somewhat anxious on the come up as my acid experience was in the back of my mind, but after around the 40 minute mark, I was able to push them anxieties aside and just really embrace the effects of the drug. It was an amazing time, can't wait till my next roll again now!
