Hey guys.

Yesterday morning the NSW Police force raided Shaman Australis Botanicals and the Koda Phytorium in an alleged MDMA raid. Torsten got raided because someone got busted at a recent event selling MDMA in unique capsules that only his businesses sell in Australia.

The NSW Police force wasted a lot of resources and turned up nothing as there was nothing there to begin with. The apparently had 18 Police officers and 5 drug detection dogs in total in the raids over both properties.

Unfortunately I can't link to the thread on the other forum with all the details as it against the BLUA. There are some amazing facts there if anyone wants to have a good read.

As a result we now have a whole new list of substances that drug detection dogs go nuts over.

Yes, it turns out that the dogs are somewhat cultivated and prefer higher quality materials!

Good on Torsten for having his shit together and not being intimidated.

For those you are interested some of the list includes:

Money
Leonotis sibiricus
Lophophora seeds
Passiflora incarnata
Theanine
Hoodia chips
High quality Saffron
Prednisone

If they are trained to sniff out a particular substance then they can detect virtually any substance.

We need to make sure we keep this thread off the topic of how to beat drug detection dogs as our thread on detection dogs here was closed for that reason recently.

^ it would suck to be the dog that gets the lesson on sniffing out passaflora, he'd be jealous of his mates that are pulling in the real drugs.

I doubt it would be specifically trained to sniff out Passiflora. It would have been creating a false positive.

Back to the raid stuff.......

wow, didn't hear about this, that sux it got raided at all. Where's a news or police article or something? To do with that other bust you posted VB? I guess. I got lots of friends and some fam right near there. I guess it'll be in the echo.

I'd say there won't be one as the NSW police made such a huge public blunder and wasted so many of our resources.

There was a news piece on Channel Seven last week. The footage is on the site.

That is so ridiculous that he got raided for selling capsules that have LEGAL uses.
Why not raid Woolworths and Coles for selling sandwich bags that ounces of weed get sold in??
Nothing at his shop or nursery is illegal. Hope his lawyers have a field day with this.
I knew nothing good would come from that news story on Channel Seven not long back.
Shame , shame, shame.

This is absolutely ridiculious! Given the circumstances as to how they raided the place like they were bound to find something illegal there. This is a perfect example of how our tax money is being wasted along side the massive amounts of money that is being wasted that is being provided for the illegal imigrants.

We have homeless people here in every single city and they are not looked after but yet others come to our country and receive everything they could possibly need plus more but anyway thats another story, its just been bugging me for the past couple of weeks now. Back on topic, it puts a smile on my face when they found nothing incriminating at these legal business, poor people trying to make a living and have to put up with this sort of shit.

Apparently the news piece had nothing to do with it. If you read the thread on the other forum T states that they weren't interested in any of the plants or cacti.

T doesn't have anything illegal ever. He is one of the smartest cats I know and has had his businesses raid ready for the last 7 years since his last big one that turned up nothing.

Good detective work really. Every one knows that it is impossible to open, empty and re-pack capsules so it MUST have been him. As the raid clearly showed. Hopefully they raid panadol next time some one gets caught selling MDMA in panadol capsules.

^ Hopefully the powers that be will just swallow their God damned pride at some point and admit this whole War on Drugs is a joke.

hahahahaha are Australian police really that fuckn dumb or just drop dead desperate for any leads that might lead to a bust over a gram?

haha cheers for the laugh boys!! and thanks for providing useful facts we can use to our advantage.. keep it up :) I wonder how many taxpayers $$$ were put into the whole investigation, planning and raid? anyone wanna take a guess?

I agree. That is going to make all the Silk road and RC importers really paranoid now.

Apparently the NSW Police force used 18 Police officers and 5 drug detection dogs in total to turn up the nothing that was there to begin with. I don't know who does their homework for the coppers but they obviously need to be sacked.

I usually support the Police and what they are doing but this was just silly.

Silly police. They can't put a dent in the drug trade because these days there's no one person to blame, every man and his dog has an internet connection, access to privacy and a peer based drug sales network - who do they hope to blame?

Closest thing they've got is these legal vendors whom they suspect of being involved in illicit trade.
