Hello,
I am currently taking 400mg pregabalin + 30mg lexapro daily for my anxiety. I want to try MDMA with a couple of friends at a concert tommorrow. I also want to drink but to be honest it depends how the MDMA goes. I am an anxious person as well. Should I just pass on the MDMA, is this interaction dangerous with my medication or is MDMA not a good fit for me? I would love to try it but I would also love not to freak out or get serotonin syndrome. How do I take it safely if so? I will be taking it with people who have taken it before. Should I pass on the alchool? Thank you!

MDMA won't even get you high if you're on SSRIs. You'll just feel the stimulant effects, alongside the high body temperature, and all the other negative side effects that come with mdma, and serotonin excess. You will mostly likely not even feel any alcohol effects because of the strong stimulant effects masking the alcohol, which is why you won't often see ravers drinking anything. Alcohol typically just" cancels" out antidepressant effects, but combining with pregabs will exacerbate its effects. Overall, I'd say no to this unless I wasn't taking any of my prescription before the event. MDMA also has a half life of at least 10 hours, so depending on the dose you take, it could be in your your system for up to 3 days.

Do not bow to peer pressure. don't panic about "missing out" on anything. Your health comes first, and MDMA comedowns can be brutal. You have the rest of your life to ping.
