Hello, I haven't done MDMA in years but I'm thinking about doing it quite soon in the future. However I am in alot of pain. I suffer allodynia, meaning the slightest pressure/touch on my skin (such as wearing clothes) results in burning pain of varying severity. I know from having done MDMA before that it intensifies feeling of touch and I am afraid by doing so it may also intensify the pain. Any thoughts on this?

Generally speaking, during the roll pain is reduced although it may return with greater intensity during the comedown. Gotta pay the piper. Pain reduction can be pretty dramatic. I once saw a video of a man with terminal cancer that could barely walk. But during the roll that he filmed, he could move normally.

Sorry can't help you on this one,
but yes it does amplify sense of touch, ive found myself rubbing my own thigh at a rave once or twice oops lol

bump.

lets hope someone who knows what they are talking about a bit more spots this thread and posts something with scientific backing.

^ Yes, I agree. Something like ketamine that disconnects you from all sense of touch or even your body might be better for you than MDMA which we all agree amplifies touch.... I don't think it would amplify pain, but I'm not qualified to even really make an assumption on that and I doubt anyone else here is..

My condolences, and I hope you can find the answer you are looking for

Mmm mdma is known to have mildly analgesic properties, but as others say it heightens the pleasure of touching. Difficult to say how it would affect you.
If you do decide to try, maybe best try with a half dose first.

I was always under the impression that MDMA heightens your senses hence the improvements in visual/audio/sensory perception. Based on this principle it sounds intuitively bad to take MDMA if you suffer from pain as it would only heighten it. Maybe im wrong though.

I can confirm it has pain-reducing propreties, I once hit my leg on a sharp concrete edge and only realized how bad it was after the effects had stopped/next day (It was all nasty, bled), but during the roll I felt only a mild sting. Don't know how it might affect you though. :/

Well, amphetamine reduces the pain I feel at least and yes I know MDMA is also painkilling, but this condition is quite unique so I am unsure. If it increased pain it could get real ugly. I think if I'm gonna do this I'll keep some fentanyl/ketobemidone handy in case.

I have never tried ketamine, but I'm sure it would help if I did, however I have enough addictions to deal with. I can easily see myself doing low doses of ketamine all the time really fast if it eliminated the pain, I think maybe it's best to stay away.
