I have some updates on this "plastic mdma".
My friends came up with an idea that maybe the "extremely" strong plastic smell/taste was from something still evaporating (was told when it was bought that it was fresh batch), so it was spread out in a shallow bowl, to let it air out. This didn't really help, it still smelled strong of plastic-and the taste was still very much there. (I personally never thought that plan would work at all, but it didn't hurt to try). That night an EZtest kit was purchased, dancesafe won't ship to Canada I guess, so I went with EzTest.
Knowing that the test would not arrive in time for the weekend we all made the educated choice to use it anyway, knowing the risks. We all went to a friends house Friday night and he had just bought a microscope so for fun we decided to look at the powder under the microscope. The power was very crystally just from looking at it without a microscope, it looked very white and was very reflective when under the light. When we put it under a microscope it looked REALLY interesting. It looked almost like snow after it's packed together, it stuck to itself and was very crystally. As we moved it around on the slide with a pin to thin out the amount to just a few specks, we noticed that there were clearly 2 types of crystallized material in this mix, along with a very small number pieces that were a tan color (you could not see the tan specks without the microscope) and a couple of other random specks (also not view-able without the microscope)
Two of the friends that use to use meth all the time back in the day, looked at it under the microscope and both agreed that the bigger crystals were meth. To be sure we carefully used a pin to remove a bunch of these different crystals that looked like meth. They tasted them and agreed that there was no doubt about there being meth in it.
That night we all did a small amount and waited. It took a long time to kick in, at about 45min we started to feel affects just slightly. But not the usual mdma effects, more speedy very clear headed though, pupils dialated but not near as much as normal. I found it was lacking the mdma effects of head rushes, euphoria (the "you love everyone feeling"). It was good though. After about 2hours we did re-dosed as the effects weren't all that strong, we checked our pulse and temperature later and 3 of the 4 of us were around 95.6 for temp, and 1 was 98.7 (he was a heavier person that is always warmer than eveyone else though) .Pulse was around 117bpm. We were up from around 9pm friday to aroundnoon Satruday and then slept till 7pm, and stayed up till about 4am and slept again and got up around noon on Sunday.
Sunday night the party came and we upped the dosage based on our experience from the other night - now before anyone says we shouldnt have rolled friday and again Sunday - we know that you should wait longer, but we weren't going to a party with unknown stuff and not testing it on a small scale first. (sunday's party was the whole point of the mdma). The night was fun, I found the same effects happened as from the night before. Awake, clear headed, talkative with friends but no feelings towards stangers like on mdma, and no head rushes like mdma, overall good feeling. But almost more like a cocaine high that lasted alot longer(i'm told it was kinda like a meth high, but I've never done meth to compare). We did re-dose a few times threw the night. By the end of the party it felt a little bit more like the usual mdma high - but by then around 0.4g was done over the course of the night by myself, and close to 0.8g by the other friends.
Didn't sleep at all Monday, around 7am Monday some cocaine made it's presence and that was done for the day by 3 of us, 1 person opted out and finally slept around 1pm and then went home around 7pm. By Monday night iit around 9pm was decided to do another parachute. 0.15g for me and 0.25g for the guys (yes we know that it wasn't the best choice for health reasons - once again educated decision). Re-dosed around midnight same dose as before. Cocaine came out again around 7am again. We were up till around 3pm Tuesday (it worked out that we had been up for about 50hours straight).
Ez test kit arrives and powder is tested with eztest kit marquis. The results were disappointing. We all knew by this point it was not pure, and the horrible plastic smell was a mystery even with hours of research on the internet as to what would cause it.
When it was tested as the instructions said, it turned purplish black - just like mdma was supose to, nothing weird happened that we noticed. Now I read that dancesafe kits you can swirl it around to see color flashes when there are mixed drugs in it. So we tired another test this time tilting the vial sideways so the powder was introduced more slowly, we all watch closely as it reacted. This time we THINK that there might have been a couple quick specks of orange before purple but we weren't 100% sure as it still turned purplish black quickly (orange would indicate meth, but we already knew it had meth in it from the microscope night - so we could have imagined that it specked orange before purplish black since that is what we were all expecting it to do in the first place), still nothing weird happened (like foam or smoke etc..).
I emailed eztest asked about if their tests will test for multiple drugs in a pill/powder or if they will only tell you if md** is present. and this was their response,
"In general,
the darker colorization of an mdma reaction will override other colors, so
mixtures are hard to see, although the reaction will probably be weird,
i.e. flashing other colors that are not supposed to be there...
As for mixtures with meth: these are really hard to see and there is no
real way of separating these with this kind of testing. You wold need a lan
to do this... However, also with this you will probably see flashes of meth
color reactions when testing."
So here we are back at square one with a plastic smelling powder, that we know conatins md** and meth. Based on eztests response it could have 5 different drugs in it, but with md** being such a dark color you might never know cause the darker color will override the other colors.
My theory is now that was just bad production and the smell is impurities from production (maybe the chemicals in the synthesis process). I don't think that md** and meth were the only things in it. It wasn't clean - that we know for sure, but there were no bad reactions to it by anyone (good thing). It did a good job at clearing out my sinuses too ( I was really stuffed up the night we did it and after 45min I was cleared right up), so maybe there was ephedrine in it too (unless meth clears your nose - I've never done meth by itself to know).
I guess this will always be a mystery.
