MDMA mixing

Good evening all.

Has anyone ever mixed mdma and mdmai? Is it 'safe' to do so? Does anyone have any experiences?

I don't know of any reason it'd be unsafe, but it also seems rather wasteful. MDMAI is just a serotonin releasing agent. A high enough dose of MDMA will release more than enough serotonin on its own. I have a feeling adding MDMAI would magnify any 'hangover' after-effects and increase the stress on your brain (MDMAI itself is non-neurotoxic, but by depleting more serotonin it could increase the neurotoxicity of the MDMA) without adding much of anything to the experience. Maybe I'll be proven wrong and some people will say they've tried it and it's the best combo ever, but IMHO, you'd be better off taking just the MDMA.

MDMAI? Or MDAI? Or MMAI? I was unaware of an MDMAI (MD-methyl-aminoindane?) on the market. If it was MDMAI, was it any good?

Assuming you meant MDAI... i could see it having utility only in reducing the amount of MDMA you are taking, to conserve product or reduce sideffects/hangover
 
I thought the same i was told mdmai but took it with a pinch of salt. I have not tried MDA, MDAI, MMAI or other such variations before so i have nothing to compare it to. Bombed about .3g with alcohol had a bit of an up like an anti depressant. was white sticky but still grainy, tasted like white. - nothing on the crystals!
 
I agree completely with solistus in principle, though some of my mates have tried MDAI + MDMA and MDAI + 4-MMC and in all cases noted a worthwhile but not exceptional increase in positive effects but no extra negatives. Seems a bit of a waste, using an interesting and unusual compound to slightly enhanced the effect of something more run of the mill. I would save it.
 
MDAI seems pretty heavy on serotonin, MDMAI even more so- I feel that more than very occasional use of either in combos is asking for trouble.
 
Combine 'probably a waste' with 'asking for trouble' and you get: not worth it.

I wouldn't know myself but knowing MDMA personally I would say it should not be combined with another empathogen. There is sense in combining serotonin-heavy empathogens with compounds that take care of the dopamine / NE side though I am not claiming that is always so safe.
 
somewhere here on bl there's a very positive report on the combination of mdma and mbdb. since i read that report i've been very curious if mdai could potentiate (or re-magicalise ;) ) mdma in the same way that one report showed mbdb to supposedly do...

so mdai gives a slight increase in positive effects in combination with mdma but nothing really worthwhile.

i don't really suspect much danger from such a combination, since these empathogens act using the same mechanism and mdma doesn't release that much serotonin compared to the likes of 6-apb or a higher dose of mdai. adding a da/ne releaser to mdma is imho much more dangerous.
 
Damn now that you think of it the opposite of the magical feeling of MDMA is the stimulant side of it that is most prominent with redosing isn't it? That would suggest that a bigger serotonin component actually DOES make sense. It also explains why 2C-B would go so well with it, also having the possibility of recapturing the magic, which worked for me one time I really have to say.

Combining can very well lead to a bigger chance of complications or hangover though so there's that.

I don't think mine was too heavy though when I had that recaptcha of magic, it was with 2C-B and GHB first plus an occasional nitrous. Later on the peak the M was insufflated in crystal form, pretty much pure which it has almost always have been - not abnormal in the MDMA capitol of the world.
