Me and my crew arrived at Undera at about 7pm, we found a suitable camping space and spent the next two hours settting up. After our tents and tarp were set up we downed a few vodkas and headed to the market. We explored the area and started to soak up the vibe, stopped in the Chai Tea tent to smoke a joint and then dropped our pills at approx 10pm. I had one and a half beige Canadian maples, a moderate dose. I began to peak after about 40 minutes, with typical MDMA effects: jaw shudders, sweating, jelly legs. We had a good dance on the Hydra Trance floor, the Japanese acts were going off!
Then the thunderstorm started, and we spent the majority of our peak in the Chai tent, just chilling and chatting to randoms. At this point someone mentioned to me that ****(name of store excluded) had a stall set up. So I went and procured about 8 bongs worth of DMT smoking mix.
After the pills wore off (about 3am) we headed back to our campsite and smoked a round of cones. After chilling out for a while me and a friend decided to head back to the market, and we ended up in the Chai tent (again! and not for the last time!) and meeting and smoking joints with Orbital and the Propellorheads. At about 6-7am Saturday I headed back to our tent and decided to try out the DMT. I packed a cone and held it in for about 30 seconds, when a buzzing sound became apparent. I then exhaled and intricate and wonderful geometric patterns appeared on the tent wall. Colour had become distorted as well, with everything seeming grey and green. I closed my eyes and as it peaked the visuals got more and more intense. I saw flowers blooming on the tent roof. I had another dose about 20 minutes afterward then ate a tab of LSD.
I then went to the double-decker bus stage and chilled out to some ambient psy that slowly built into incredible groovy, melodic psytrance. Then I wandered around the venue, looking at patterns emerging in trees and people's skin. I met up with some other friends before Simon Postford's Shpongled DJ set and ate another tab. The set was incredible, everybody looking beautiful and amazing...and most were probably as loaded as I was. The sand was shifting and pulsing in time with the music, the bass was pounding and flowing through my soul. After the set finished I went to fetch more pills and smoked another cone of DMT, and watched the grass sway and shift and a purple mist formed through the trees. I then went back to the main stage to await Amorphous Androngynous. I ate half a pill before they came on and then another whole one halway through their set which was above and beyond what I expected. They are an incredibly talented band and if you don't know them, you should!
After they finished I ate another pill and had to sit down as the MDMA floored me. I was having a wicked time watching the lasers dance in the trees and just letting the music lift me above and beyond. LSD+DMT together is a wonderful synergy, however it is not for the feint of heart.
I went back to my friends tent and smoked some methamphetamine, as well as snorting some I had traded for a tab of acid (I didnt want to be tripping too hard for this event), then I dropped my last half of a tab. I think my body was exhausted at this point as I lay down then woke up at about 10am Sunday morning, still tripping but scattered. I went back to my tent and smoked a bong or two and lay down for a while. I forced some food and water down then ambled back to the market for another dance. I then finished my meth in a few short lines and danced until the liscence for the venue expired.
I am a little bit ill now and extremely scatterbrained, yet I feel somehow refreshed and enlightened from this experience. There is no way to describe a doof, with the groove of the bass pulsing through your veins and the wave of scent drifting over you, incense and skunky marijuana, as you wave your arms and watch the tracers meld into one with the music.
