Okay, so I'll set the scene. It's the last day of a festival in an England summer, it's about 3am and throughout the night I have ingested about 300mg (at least) of pure MDMA. Needless to say, I'm feeling good.
I eagerly finish the rest of my MDMA so I can move on to the ketamine. At this point I say "I'm glad the MDMA is finished, it was getting in the way of me snorting K".
So I have a few lines, uncrushed lines by the way, so I probably took more than I intended. Plus, the shit burned. I give a line to some people I just met.
I have only taken ketamine after MDMA once in the past - that time I just experienced the euphoria of MDMA plus the trippiness of the ketamine, the 'Alice in Wonderland' effect of things appearing very small or very large, that I usually get from K.
However, this time, there was a new synergy going on between the drugs, probably because I took more MDMA this time and also because I snorted the K whilst I was still feeling the full effects of the MDMA.
The tent I was sitting in transformed, at different moments it felt like I was in a different tent, with different people, even though the same people were in there. I could swear at times that more people were present and I could actually specify who they were as well. I was seriously confused. So I snorted more K, again, uncrushed.
I was gradually slipping into a K-hole. I'm pretty sure this is strongest effect of K I have ever experienced. It felt like I was levitating, being literally lifted off the ground. I was weightless. Then I could distinctly feel some force behind me, pushing me. At times it also felt like I was flying - it felt amazing. While these tactile hallucinations were going on, I was completely dissociated from my body, I did not recognise my body and I did not recognise who the person was who was experiencing this trip.
Now, I either snorted more K or I just slipped further into the K-hole. I think it's the former. It now feels like I've gone too far, like I've gone insane. I don't think I could communicate in any way. In fact, I definitely remember trying to force a sentence out of my mouth, describing what I was experiencing. But it came out like a mumbled echo, like I said "I feel like I-I-I-I-I-uhh-uhh", then straight back into the K hole.
One of the most interesting parts of this experience was when I started moving my hand. If I pretended to press my fingers against the air, as if I was placing my fingers on a real object, I could actually feel the air as if it was a wall. It felt like a wall of electricity. At this point, it felt like I was the environment; I was so detached from my body that I only experienced myself as my immediate environment.
My memory of what else I experienced is fuzzy. But in terms of my emotions and mindset, I was obviously very confused, felt some fear and definitely felt extremely fucking insane! I was existing in some other plane or dimension and because I could not communicate with everyone, I felt isolated, almost in despair. Still, the psychedelic effects were interesting enough to keep me satisfied - I think the euphoria from the MDMA was present as well.
I start to come down. It's about 5am now. One of my friends appears who is kind enough to offer everyone in the tent a balloon of nitrous. There was about 10-15 people in this massive tent now! Don't know when that happened.
I would just like to mention that I attended this same festival the year before and on the very last night as well I combined MDMA with nitrous. That combination completely took me by surprise, it felt like an intense, other-worldly psychedelic. Very similar to DMT in some ways, in that I entered a dream-like state, where I could witness vivid, crystal clear events unfold before my eyes. But these events were not occuring in the real world, for after about 30 seconds of inhaling the nitrous, I returned to the real world, sitting by a fire. I exclaim something like "No! There is no way that could've happened! There is no way I just inhaled nitrous!" But I did.
It was like some fantastic coincidence that I would again combine these drugs on the last night of the same festival, but a year later, with an equally, if not more perplexing and incredible experience. No doubt this was due to the addition of the K.
So, I begin to inhale the balloon in unison with everyone else. The transition between inhalation and onset was immediate, much like the 'flash' of smoked DMT. I look above me and the ceiling of the tent begins to fold in on itself, it turns into an oceanic wave and I am transported into a world under the ocean. I am no longer able to see the tent and I remember thinking to myself, these visual effects are fucking strong, it is as if I did actually smoke DMT - I just wish I could have a better memory of the visuals!
The next thing I remember is feeling like I've simultaneously gone back in time, whilst watching footage of my memories. These memories were conversations with people that I've never had, they were emotions I have never felt and they were cosmic secrets I have never known. The footage starts playing faster and faster and I am being bombarded with images, voices and ideas. It feels like this is leading up to a crescendo. It feels like everything is speeding up to arrive at some grand, ultimate truth - the sacred answer to every question that could ever be asked. So it builds and builds and builds, I am breathless before receiving this revelation and then it comes, in an instant all is revealed - I see my friend (either in the trip or in reality, I cannot tell) and he says, "You've just inhaled nitrous".
BAM! I'm back in reality, with the balloon in my hand, in the tent, with everyone else. Now, just like last year, after the MDMA and nitrous trip, I exclaim, "No! That's not possible. That didn't just happened. I went back in time...oh my god". I was in disbelief. It felt like an intense, alien form of de ja vu, plus a sense that the Universe had just tricked me, that it tricked me into thinking it was revealing a divine truth, then nudged me, reminded me that all I did was inhale nitrous. This was the Cosmic Joke.
So, that it is what I remember. I am convinced that MDMA and nitrous, and especially with ketamine added into the mixture, can be one of the most intense, alien, profound and visual experiences available to the mind.
