Hey guys im searching for a possible interaction between Chlorpheniramine Maleate or Phenylphrine Bitartrate and MDMA.
They are both ingreediants in many common (OTC) cold medications. (The names of the brand of medications I am not sure of... sorry)
If you can help please do... but dont let it bother you too much.

Well Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antihistamine, depending on what kind will link more closly to if your pill wont work as well as some antihistamines trigger intracellular changes and block H1 receptor or the g-protien to bind with.
(Smart peole am I right??)
and as for Phenylphrine Bitartrate, not sure. But there are Hundreds of Posts on Rollin with the flu an related medications.
A good rule,if your sick enough to take that other shit, dont pop the pills till your better, your pills will lower your imune system even lower and make you sicker =( .... but most people wont learn till they do it all wrong.

Micromedex identifies a potentil drug interaction between phenylephrine & chlorpheniramine plus amphetamines. There is a risk of hypertension (high blood pressure) caused by "increased systemic vascular resistance". I wouldn't combine these two. If you desperately need a nasal decongestant (I assume this is what you are using it for) on the day you take MDMA, then consider herbal decongestants. In my experience, these are one herbal product that actually works - garlic, horseradish, marshmallow etc. You can get them at the supermarket or health food store. They shouldn't interact with MDMA.

Thanks for the help. It wasnt actually me who was taking them (im on a self imposed exile from the land of MDMA), it was a friend of mine who was stressing out over one of the people she was rolling with. I havent heard anything from them so I'm assuming whoever it was is ok.
Thanks for the help though.

If you need a nasal decongestant and you're going to take MDMA, don't worry about it - by the time the pill starts working, your system will be stimulated by the amphetamine-type effects and your nose will probably stop running... in my experience most cold symptoms seem to ease with MDMA or other stimulants.

Bt ur a Mod and ur suggestion is to take MDMA for pills.... dood come on, you can answer better than that for fuks sake. It might be a quick fix but you will be worse later!oh my god, get with the program people! he wasnt recommending mdma for a cold and flu, obviously taking mdma will reduce your bodys immune system later. it is true however the stimulant effect of mdma acts similarly to the stimulant effect of sudafed to treat a cold. you dont have to do everything a mod says, your common hobo could tell that hes not recommending illicit drugs for common colds.

Hi Spheroid...
Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my post - but it does say, if you read closely, that IF YOU ARE going to take MDMA, and you are thinking of taking a decongestant, don't do it. Most decongestants are stimulants, and there's no need to add another stimulant to your body if you're already planning to take MDMA... because 1) the MDMA will act as a stimulant anyway and do exactly the same thing that the decongestant would, and 2) there's no sense increasing the risk to your body by taking stimulants with stimulants...
Hope that clears up what I was trying to say for you.

On a similar note – can anyone tell me if having been out all night on MDMA/ MDA if taking an antihistamine in the morning would have any negative effects? Let’s say for example if the person who had been out all night wanted to spend the next day with friends who own cats and the person has allergies.
Should there be any problems with this??
Btw – sorry to head off topic slightly but I didn’t think it was worth a new thread…
Cheers
PT

Sorry for the flame BT, I will read more closely in the future before I accuse a Mod of Ill advice. I know I have read many time before where you have given proper advice and this is no exception. I Take back my comment.
