Believing my withdrawals to be all but finished I took a dose of Molly as a means of reflecting on my addiction adding closure nd celebrating my victory over the dreaded opiate- rolled face for 5-6 hours but noticed that the experience was oddly blunted - it was neither pleasant nor unpleasant - certainly the chemical imbalances brought on by opiate wd's affected my ability to appreciate the roll. Anyhow the point is that the following morning I was quite literally an emotional train wreck. The hangover was unbearable add to that the fact thaat my withdrawals had returned with a vengeance.
One thing I noticed while rolling was my Jimmying legs. Never had this before but my legs were vibrating incredibly rapidly - the room was shaking :\
The MDMA brought on the effects of WD for me and its heart breaking to be dopesick aaall over again when I had managed to come clean - my guess is that it has caused a neurochemical deficiency which has brought back the restless legs nd chills.

Yeah man, take it easy. Your body is recovering and you're just kicking it back down. MDMA has pretty much always thrown me off balance for a few days. Just take it easy and celebrate by going for a hike and meditating.

That's great advice - hiking during withdrawal is like a blast of fresh air through my head totally refreshing. I was so cabagged I thought i'd done myself permanent damage on Molly tho - not one of my better choices hah

MDMA is really mentally and physically straining...You will always have a comedown even if you never really 'came up' like you experienced. Just take it easy...Benzo's will help if you have any.

I wish I did have some clonazepam - serotonin action would help me out of the rut. Ive never comedown off mdma before, its always tapeered off slowly leaving a mellow afterglow - then again I was an opiate addict on all my previous rolls so I would have depressed my cns to the extent where ne comedown was totally mitigated

Alochol seems to have the same effect. A can of Carling is mildly pleasant enough - but afterwards the withdrawals came on thick nd fast. The entire night I was in dire pain, so bad was it that I was punching my legs black and blue, cutting off the circulation and smacking myself round the face in a vain attempt to release endorphins. I am utterly at loss. How unlucky can a guy be??? I manage to get through withdrawals only to be thrown back in TWICE. I am aware alchohol has opiate action, but i've heard it recommended for WD's many times - at least for those immune to hangovers - I didnt think a can of beer would have such an adverse effect. Siiiigh dont know how much more I can take of this.

I don't believe that MDMA and alcohol has 'reset your withdrawals'. I believe that it is more likely that since you are fresh off of opiates, your body is lacking many natural chemicals and your body's defenses are down. MDMA and alcohol both can cause some serious hangovers, whichin the past were most likely mitigated due to your opiate use/dependency. MDMA is very draining in the first place, and taking it during withdrawals may make you feel good during the roll, but the comedown would be exacerbated greatly.

I think you just need to lay off the drugs/drink, and let your body heal naturally. Just because the acute withdrawal may seem over, there are still many things your body needs to do to recover and this process takes a long time. You can help it though, by exercising, eating well, looking into supplements, and occupying your time/mind with other more productives hobbies/activities.

I feel like you are just associating any bad feelings you get from a substance, as opiate withdrawal. The negative come downe ffects from MDMA and alcohol can mimic some of the symptoms of opiate withdrawal. I'm sure you'l be fine after a day or two. Just rest, and do everything you possibly can to help your body along in a positive way.

Good luck.

Cheers for that :-) - I reckon im still slightly unhinged/hysteric from the withdrawal/Comedown haha I needed some sensible advice.

I could feel both the MDMA comedown + the WD's. Once I took a SSRI the sinking feeling in my chest nd that intolerable depression vanished (its rumoured that SSRI's during the hangover (not comedown) r neuroprotective) but I was still jimmying nd my skin was still crawling. I think that I did put my body out of wack. Wd put me in a fragile place nd its true that MDMA is no gentle panacea in fact its fairly violent nd takes serious toll on the body nd brain - no wonder I was jonesing again. Could also be related to dopamine since the symptoms I described are related to dopamine deficiency.

Food is a real gift during withdrawals - during wd's I generally cant abide the thought of food but a bit of weed really vamps up my apetite and after a good curry (dont forget the loperamide haha) I always feel a whole lot better. Proteins Capsaicin, Carbs Fat etc are all needed since the body is trying to rebalance. I believe that the fact that we addicts tend to avoid eating during withadrawal just strings out the whole process how can the body start producing endorphins/achieve homeostasis if its got no raw materials?
