MDMA half life and DOD testing

Ive been reading up on MDMA half life and according to Erowid it is 9 hours +/- 2.5. Everything that I've read has stated 2-3 days tops for MDMA to be detected. According to the DoD site MDMA can only be detected for 3 days with using the GS/MC test. The DoD tests to 500NG BUT, when i run the half-life numbers for a dose of 100mg or 100,000,000ng it takes about 6 days for it to be undetectable by the GS/MC test. Am I doing the math wrong or are there other factors that cause the half life to be quicker?
