MDMA getting wet in a pool, is it safe?

So I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago for EDC and someone I know jumped into the pool with a quarter in their pocket. The bag wasn't completely sealed and it got wet. Is it still safe or would the pool chemicals react in a way that would make consuming it toxic or dangerous?

I can't imagine MDMA reacting with anything under those conditions, though I am no expert.

This is a loaded question and being a harm reduction site I'm going to have to say you should be cautious and use your best judgement in this situation. Check for visible inconsistency as well as a change in the smell; look for any loss of integrity from the original look and scent.

Realistically though, think about how many kids gulp down a mouthful of pool water. It definitely can't be good for you but a small amount isn't going to kill you.

It is totally safe. There's nothing in a typical pool's water that isn't safe to drink in small amounts and if it is safe to drink, it is safe to drink along with MDMA.

Yeah chlorine reaction with the chem is something I'd be worried about, very unlikely though.

Guys, MDMA is not going to react with the chlorine. MDMA is a stable molecule, bigger forces are required for a chemical reaction.

chlorine is quite a reactive atom :P But I think that pools are sanitized using chloramine. Chloramine is pretty stable in concentrations used when sanitizing water (actually it's much harder to remove from water than chlorine).
Btw if the crystals only got a bit wet we're probably talking about less than a ml of water and a few mg of whatever sanitizer is used... even in the worst case it would have clorinated/oxidized only a little bit of M.

Chroline might be yes, but MDMA ain't gonna react under those circumstances.
