I´ve tried MDMA 80% crystals twice about 100mgs per time. It just simply does not work for me at all. I do not get any euphoria kinda feeling and want to dance or anything. I dont feel the "love". I just get very weird and confused.

I´m pretty sure my medication has something to do with this?. I take 150mgs of Effexor per day. Oh, and I do know it is a dangerous combination. I tried to take a bit less a few days before MDMA but I dont get nothing at all. Just very confused. Now the day after I feel like shit.

I really wanted E to work, but maybe not then. Should I just first try to get off my medication. Im also obese, but that shouldnt count. I dunno.

Thanks for any help <3

i think to experience mdma properly you would need to stop effexor for a week and then roll. however you obviously need it for something so maybe wait until later in life

Effexor is a bitch to stop suddenly it can make you have dreadful withdrawel symptoms.

I am currently trying to get off it and it is not easy.

For a single MDMA roll I wouldnt personally bother.

Thats true! the withdrawals are from hell. I take my dose in the morning and if I miss that dose, I start feeling awful already in the evening. I do not feel getting any help for my depression of Effexor, I only eat it because of the fuckin withdrawals. Hate that shit. Do you or anyone else have any helpful advice how to get off Effexor? Its not just for MDMA. I just dont like to use it, because theres no help.

I woud stop the medication for a week but can´t. Withdrawals are terrible. Even one day without it is fuckin horrible.

effexor is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (snri). simply (and rather crudely) put, the effexor you are taking prevents mdma from doing what it does when it makes those who do not take effexor feel the euphoric effects of mdma.

i'm not pretty sure your medication has something to do with this. your medication is 100% to do with this. do some background reading on selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

as long as you're taking effexor, mdma will not work for you.

As stated, it is because of effexor. If your taking it for depression I wouldnt recommend you take ecstasy regardless

MDMA wont work with any SSRI, Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor, based antidepressants and MDMA needs to attach to the serotonin transport to work and the antidepressant will be attached to it already and have a higher affinity for it. You'll have to come off it to be able to roll on MDMA, however if your on an antidepressant, MDMA is the last thing you should be touching let alone comming off it just to use MDMA.

If you feel the effexor isnt working, some AD's take up to 8 weeks before they work. If its already been past that, maybe switch to another anti depressant... sertraline or prozac. If you want to come off of effexor, switch to prozac then taper off that.

I´ve been taking effexor at least 2-3 years already. I want to come off of effexor. It does not help and I have withdrawals if I forget one. I don´t know how it would work if I switch to 75mgs of effexor first. now taking 150mgs. Thats what my doctor said to me. Also medication change would do good, but dont know why all the doctors ive been to say how this is the best medication for me and dont really wanna change it. All they suggested was that I should start taking a bit more. NO THANKS.

And yeah I´m sad that because of this mofo I cant try MDMA and feel the effects.:D

But thanks everybody:)

Maybe try comming off the efferox at say 125mgs then down to 100 then 75 and so on, your completely halving your dose... it may work give it a shot. if not try 125 or 100mgs.

Also trust me, dont try MDMA if you drop the dose. Just stay away from it completely, even after your come off the SSRI if you do as it needs to clear your system along wth its active metabolites...plus many people report after long-term SSRI use they dont roll the same due to speculation of SSRI's altering the serotonin network which another speculation is said to slowly return back to normal or close to it.

OK a few things to add...............

Do NOT stop taking prescription drugs in any circumstances unless done so with the guidance of your doctor.

Having spent many years here on this forum, I can tell you that almost everyone who has stopped using snri meds and tried to roll still cannot roll for years afterwards. This is because the meds can make long term to permanent changes to the way things work in your brain.

Finally, even if you did manage to roll, the next problem is that mdma use will deplete your seratonin system which is linked to your "feeling OK or happy" system, meaning that after you come down then you will start feeling a bit depressed however that is likely to be much worse if you already have anxiety or depression issues. Coupled with the no longer using your meds and you have a recipe for disaster.

Please think this through very carefully.
