MDMA day before NBOME: Cross tolerance?

Hi all - I've been a lurker for a while so first off thanks for the plentiful indirect advice I've gleaned from here in the past

I've seen plenty about nbomes being bad for causing high tolerance to mdma and other drugs for 1-2 weeks after doing the nbome, but not so much on the other way around. From what I've heard, doing e the day after nbome will be a waste of time because the nbome is such a full-on agonist, but would that agonism mean that it'd still have a decent effect the day after one or two pills?

MDMA and psychedelics have completely different methods of action, NBOMe's should not cause a tolerance to MDMA, and vice versa. Rolling before may end up giving a slightly diminished trip as you are most likely going to be exhausted and out of serotonin.

Thanks for your reply, thing is they're both phenethylamines that mostly use serotonin and there's quite a few reports of the nbome's having big cross-tolerance to other serotonin based drugs, wondered if anyone had experience of doing them this way round.

Well, NBOMEs don't actually "use" serotonin like MDMA does, they just agonize serotonin receptors.

Thought experiment:
If you COMPLETELY deplete all of the serotonin in your brain, serotonin agonists (e.g. NBOMEs, psilocybin) will still work, but serotonin releasers (e.g. MDMA) won't.
