so when coming down on XTC i'm free of social anxiety, and this lasts all day untill the evening, i'm wondering if theres any evidence on what really happened in the brain the day after E?

Your serotonin levels may still be higher than normal, even after you've come down. I'm usually still a little high the next day after a roll, along with fuzzy vision.

thats why i asked, mdma is the only thing working for my social anxiety even on the comedown, this way it may be easier to identify the anti anxiety effect

The decrease in SERT-activity from MDMA might have an SSRI-like effect, perhaps?

i believe its something else as SSRI's are considered very week for social anxiety and MDMA works wonders for everyone, maybe something to do with oxytocin (or was it oxycontin, not talking about the opiate)

Well, I know some and have heard about others that gets anxiogenic MDMA-aftereffects, which also is one of the side effects in some people of SSRI:s during the initial phase of treatment. I find it hard to see why oxytocin should play a role here, can you explain how you reason?

I could be entirely wrong about the mechanisms behind MDMA-aftereffects, though.

Well, there are decreased amounts of 5HT after MDMA dosing, and 5HT in many places in excitory and anxiogenic (as stated above, that's why they work, downregulation of serotonin receptors).

I have read about studies showing long term decrease of serotonin in CSF, but has it also been shown that there is relatively low concentrations of serotonin in CSF the day after MDMA?

Probaby because you're so depressed and apathic that you dont give a f**k abut anything else.
i felt depressed and i have been in a normal mood on the comedown, must be something else

i get this benefit from the moment mdma works, say like 11 at night saterday, and it fades away the next day 6 in the evening sunday, while the high is gone much faster offcourse

after that i dont feel any benefits anymore, really wonna find this out because no med works for my social anxiety, i only feel normal when coming down from e (on the high too ofcourse but that isnt feeling "normal")

i know my responses to drugs are rather weird, just trying to figure my brain out lol
