Hey BlueLight,

I've rolled about 6 times, and the most recent two has produced a depressive period, I am in one of those periods currently. I space out my rolls 3+ months, and reagent test and all, but that's not the point.

Anyways, I know of two people, one male and one female, that seem to be immune to the effects of MDMA depression. The female rolls every week or two and is completely fine, the male rolls at least once, but usually twice a month and occasionally rolls 2-3 days back to back. These people say that they feel fine, and they function completely normal in their everyday lives. I'm not going to deny that the male's memory hasn't taken a hit, but emotionally he's okay.

Do these people just have some natural immunity?

I don't understand, so if anyone can shed a light on this I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Maybe they're taking methylone? I know when I took methylone I never had a comedown at all, actually felt better the next day which was quite pleasant. Maybe they're just good at hiding it, or they don't show it? I've never not been depressed after a roll, I mean it's kinda hard not too after how amazing the night was. Shedding tears thinking of how awesome it was is common.

I know people who it doesn't bother too much then others who can't stand it and don't think it's worth the comedown. I'd say grab some 5htp, last week was probably my 50th or so roll and the first time I took 5htp after. Can't believe it took so long to try because the comedown never showed up, I strongly recommend it.

I've seen people here say that 5htp is bad for the heart because of high blood serotonin levels in the body or some crap. Meanwhile they just unloaded all their serotonin while they were rolling which I'm sure is much much worse for the heart. So give 5htp a shot

I do take 5-HTP as well as L-Tyrosine. I'm not looking for a way to be unaffected by the MDMA comedown I'm just wondering why they aren't affected by it. I haven't done methylone myself, but I know that they are doing MDMA as I've tested their product for them.

I used to think I could take E every week with no comedown, in reality I was just ignoring the signs due to my own addiction. I've found a lot of people can abuse MDMA with little repercussions, for a short while. That kind of use almost always catches up to them eventually and they either quit to switch to some other drug. It's only the responsible users that can keep using for extended periods of time without bending their brain over a barrel eventually

Anyways, my last roll had no comedown. Sometimes I get them, sometimes not... the roll before that I took methylone and had a HORRIBLE comedown, but that was my fault. It really depends on how responsible I'm being and how much I take

I'm pretty damn lucky when it comes to comedowns/tuesday blues. My day after hangover is minimal. Just super sleepy with a dry mouth. Just general laziness and that's it. I actually love the day after because I always plan it so I don't have anything to do and take 2 or 3 awesome-feeling naps. Couple that with some alcohol (just enough to keep a light buzz going, hydrating plenty otherwise) and I'm in happy-town.

I only ever got mid-week depression once, like two years ago. It sucked but since then I've take MDMA many many times with no depression.

My diet is shitty and I don't exercise at all, for what it's worth. I'm also on zero medications. This isn't a fucking endorsement to others who don't know how they'll react to MDMA and the negative side-effects that come with it, by the way. My friends, who all take the same MDMA as me, all get shitty hangovers. I really am just super lucky.

These people have been rolling for about a little over a year and going strong, while I myself have been rolling since my join date to BlueLight and have been spacing my rolls out the more I did it.

Well I'm envious of you, Penthos. By cowtown I'm assuming Calgary? Did you attend Chasing Summer? How often do you roll?

It almost seems like the healthier I am the worse the comedown, but I'm sure it's just how often I've been taking it (1 month breaks). I feel a lot better now and it seems a lot better than my previous comedown. 3 months seems like a good amount, but I'd almost think 4 months would be golden for myself.

I find 45-60 days to be just about perfect, 30 days is pushing it for myself and after 90 days I start to feel like I'm missing out

I don't put set limits on it though, just follow certain guides. If I push it a little I'm sure to take some extra time off, and if I've been good I'll reward myself with a great experience.

As for a natural immunity though.. no. MDMA works the same way in everyone, some may just be more predisposed to problems than others

Coming down I have always felt pleasant and never uncomfortable.

The only time I was sour the next day was when I went out with the goal in mind to get fucked up and took somewhere between 550-700mg ( stupid, stupid, stupid) of a substance I was told was molly, but did not test it. I didn't roll very hard and puked when I was coming up. The next day I was rather unhappy and not in a good mood.

Now I typically roll once a month and take about 100mg of very strong well tested molly. The next day I feel really good with a nice after glow.

I don't know if it makes any difference but I try to live a healthy life style by working out 5 days a week and eating healthy. Then again everyone is different.

So it's simply that they can deal with depression/anxiety better than the average person, or they're like Penthos. I'm predisposed to depression and anxiety, but I've suffered with both pretty much my whole life and I'm pretty good at dealing with it, but I'm nothing compared to the two I've mentioned if they are in fact suffering from post-MDMA comedown.

I might try a two month break next time and see how it is.

Honestly I probably fall in the cataegory of "Deals with anxiety and depression well". I don't think I possess some super resistance to the hangover effects, I probably just perceive them differently than the [majority?] of users. I can literally curb oncoming blues (not necessarily MDMA-related blues) just by listening to a song (not a specific song, just something that grabs me in the moment). Hell, maybe the reason the hangover isn't so bad for me is because I've had such a shitty diet and lifestyle for so long that I think it's normal! Haha, oh man...great now I'm gonna be thinking about that for the next few days. Woops.

Also to answer your question....No i didn't go to Chasing Summer, I was at Shambhala. And, at the risk of derailment (sorry!) I'll say this....I sincerely regret missing Above & Beyond. Big time.

That was my first theory haha that the two are in a constant state of the MDMA comedown that it became their normal state.

I also regret missing A&B. I was there in body, but it was my first time candyflipping, and a bad trip to boot, and I was so messed up that my mind wasn't there to experience them. They're my favourite DJs hands down and I was too destroyed.

The dose is really important. I'm one of those fortunate people who doesn't experience a comedown. My friends also don't experience a bad comedown, but I always ensure that they're not doing anything stupid. If you're keeping doses reasonable, moderating usage and testing all your substances then I guess you're just unlucky.

your serotonin levels diminish with frequent use, it's just that some people don't notice it, or adapt to having it at a relatively low level. it's possible to have mild depression and experience it as a form of normality, for a time anyway. with sustained frequent use everyone reaches a point where it hits them. when i first started i didn't experience any comedowns, mid week depression ect. but after a long period of heavy use i started getting lethargy with mild depression, which i got used to. it was a while until i started feeling real edgy and had to cut it out. thats the great thing about md, it lets you know when to stop and isn't particularity difficult to give up/cut back on, any damage it does tends to correct fairly nicely aswel.

Every time i've dosed mdma I've never gone above 200mg and have always waited at least a month between rolling. Using it alone, I've never had a negative comedown, I'll just be slightly tired the next day at most. However when I candyflip, I end up feeling pretty fried the next day. I experience a lot of fatigue and my mood is slightly less positive than usual.

I never really get a bad comedown, all that happens is I stop feeling the MDMA and I just start feeling more normal again, a bit edgy and cant sleep. Next day? A little bit drained but after a good Meal I feel all good and ready to do it again. After doing it for like 3 days on the row, I will get brain zaps and lighthead, and maybe feeling a bit down. After a few good days of meals etc I feel 100% again.

With good quality MDMA there should be no horror comedowns really

I am one of those lucky people... I have rolled well over 500 times and I still do it just about every weekend... the comedowns are never bad or harsh or depressing... just a slow pleasant fade to normal...

honestly I have no idea why I would be different.. I understand that I am by far the exception to the rule... the only things that I can say is that when I roll I do not take large amounts (50-150 mg total) and I take very good care of my body...

Good MDMA doesn't give me a bad comedown.
However the stuff I have now I don't believe is MDMA, possible methylone or some other synthetic cathinone, so I usually end up taking stupidly high doses chasing the same high giving me a ridiculously painful comedown
My last night at shambhala was just like that, it was worse than any cocaine or amphetamine comedown I've had.
I've never had a headache so painful in my life

pure MD fades out quite pleasantly, but if your doing every weekend it does catch up mood wise. the nasty comedowns you get from most pills are the adulterants, usually caffeine or amphetamines. even allot of decent pills have a small amount of speed in them to prolong the effect. that's what causes the severe skag, that sensation of having sand stuck between your muscles. im seriously considering washing my pills with actone next time.

I always take 120mg pure MDMA in powder form. I honestly doubt that comedowns are due to adulterants in the cut. I did pure MDMA last week and it took until today (1 week later) to feel nearly 100% again.

I spoke to my male friend again yesterday and he said he feels completely fine and just a little tired after taking MDMA. His breaks consist of only one month max. I've also learned that he's been doing this for over 3 years. Miracle of nature.
