Hi Bluelight

It has almost been 2 months since I took a large amount of MDMA which caused me to go through this long-term comedown. My anxiety and depression have greatly subsided during the second half of this comedown. I feel like a positive mindset and exercise definitely played a big part in this! I am not completely 100% however. My vision has been clearing up but what's bothering me the most and adding on to my anxiety is my tinnitus/ear-ringing. I feel like the ringing has gotten a little worse recently after I attended a concert yesterday (sober). Not sure if it was the loud music since I also had a mini panic attack at this concert which lasted for about 30 seconds or so.

Before this I would only really notice my tinnitus whenever I would wake up at night in panic... which was during the beginning stages of my comedown. Now that it is persisting I'm just really scared this ringing is going to be permanent. It affects my sleep and I feel as though my comedown will just worsen without good rest. I felt as close to myself until this tinnitus heightened. I really thought I was getting better but I feel like this has pushed me back. I was just wondering, does MDMA affect hearing nerves? Is this just a symptom of low serotonin?

just to note... when I took my large amount of MDMA, voices and sounds were high-pitched (chipmunk sounding) for about 5-10 minutes which caused me to freakout and cause a bad trip.

Thanks guys! Been stressed out recently... doesn't help that this happened right on finals week.
Any feedback would be appreciated :)

I had tinnitus for about a week after smashing SRA's for 2 days about 8 months ago. There is an explanation for this, but it escapes me. Don't worry though, it will go. A lot of these "60 year" MDMA comedowns are psychosomatic, and are actually a result of an anxiety loop created by yourself.

I had something really similar it wasn't "ringing" but more being really sensitive to noise. For me the crickets in the yard would sound like it was right in my ear. It started going away after I stopped focusing on it so much. Realize your completely healthy and have just been damaged by MDMA. As long as you stay calm and continue being healthy it passes. It went away in about 3 months for me but it still comes back occasionally. It seems to coincide with whenever I'm very stressed.

Thanks for the reply guys!

My anxiety has heightened these past few days and I'm thinking it's me stressing with upcoming exams. And that the anxiety is exacerbating my ear ringing. Hoping that it will be gone by next week.

Just wish I could pinpoint the exact cause for all of this. This was only my second time using E and I regret it so much :(

Rule of thumb from now on. Never roll during a school semester. Do another drug that's not so hard on the mind and body, shrooms is my other preferred extreme party drug, other than that, booze and bud are always good and easy substitutes to get.. As far as ringing goes get yourself some ear plugs when you go to concerts/raves, they alleviate a lot of the ringing you get afterwards.

Chipmunk sounds really weird o: never heard of that, I suppose that's unusual, you are taking mind altering substances.. maybe your stuff was cut with something. hope you feel better soon, time will heal.

I rolled balls during the summer term.. was a bad idea, had to drop one of my classes and got a C in the other one because of the comedown.

You gotta wait it out.

E/mdma can be a wonderful substance to explore yourself with, under ideal circumstances. Make sure to test your product so that you know what you are getting, the marquis reagent can at least tell you if you are getting MDxx. I find that pre-load supplements, post-load supplements and exercise are necessities for before and after. Dose with caution. Do your research. Sounds like you're sensitive to this stuff like me. Took one really bad comedown to get me to respect molly. the respect she deserves.

good luck bud, hope you can channel a really good roll in the future

thanks for the reply Christoph!
Yea I definitely learned my lesson from this experience. Thought I was going to be fine with no comedown like the first time I used it... but that wasn't the case. Currently trying my hardest right now to ignore the comedown symptoms and focus on studying.

I had a friend who had experienced high-pitched chipmunk voices but at a different event. Yea, my brain is probably just sensitive to all of this and that the pill I took was adulterated. Just hoping I didn't do any damage and I'll be back to myself in no time.

Any up date on the ringing? It my 6th week and i have the high pitched ringing for the last 2 weeks.. Did it ever go away for you? How long did it take?

Did it ever go away for you? Mine is getting louder after 3 months. Mostly just keeps me from sleeping.
