Hey all,

I am currently still in the "honeymoon phase" with MDMA and I already had a period of weekly abuse.

I kept using frequently for a while and started experiencing sleep paralysis. It started getting worse to the point where I would wake up 3 times in a night, unable to move, having numerous brainzaps in a row until I regained the ability to move.

Please note that this was in a period where I was rolling maybe twice a week for a month or so taking 300 mgs each night. I slowed down after and didn't take anything for a month and a half and I'm doing fine now. I only roll once a month. Still... I came to the conclusion that, in order to keep it special, I would have to wait longer this time. So It's been about 7 weeks since I rolled and I'm planning on waiting till after new years eve.

Only downside is last weekend I made a stupid move, me and my buddies were drunk and we were in the mood to party hard, and we got offered speed. Unlike MDMA I don't know much about speed's neurotoxicity. So the deal is, how badly did this interfere with my break and my recovery process? I must say the speed hangover was 10 times worse then that of MDMA. I was very unstable the next day, and the fact that It's a tough situation at home now just adds up, that day was the first time I cried in 5 years...

Anyway I just want to know if taking speed once slows the recovery process way down or something like that, I hope not... I really want to give my brain a break.. :)
 
there should be no "honeymoon" phase with MDMA... I hate that term.

you have done major damage to your serotonin system, which controls your dopamine system and pretty much your entire body. Speed releases dopamine, not serotonin, so it wont be as bad as rolling again, but it will deff set you back some. Not to mention the SHITTY hangover like you mentioned

you need to stay off of any "releasing" chemicals, just smoke weed...
 
Hmm.. FYI speed isn't a regular thing for me. Last weekend was a first time and it will be the last. The hangover was SHIT, absolutly, but I don't think this is all due to my "damaged" serotonin system. I'm currently dealing with some tough shit and something else happened that day that sent me over the edge emotionally. Most people I know have had some time of abuse with MDMA, and I got out soon enough. I don't experience hangovers from MDMA, I actually get a pretty good afterglow! And I would like to keep it this way, I don't want to stop taking MDMA all together, I just want to take good care of my body and stay as healthy as I can, hence the worries about speed.. :S

and speed actually does release serotonin, it really fucks with Serotonin transporters too.

OP you should be fine to roll on new years, the tweaking deffinitley set you back but i cant tell you how far seeing as how everyone is different. just take it easy, eat healthy, get adequate sleep, exersize, and you should be fiiine :)

Damn, I regret doing speed hehe... But yeah, like I said, I actually feel FINE. I already excersize 3 times a week actually. I live a healthy lifestyle (apart from smoking.. meh). Anyway, knowing that speed affects serotonin aswell I'm going to wait a little bit longer, gonna give my body a break from it all :) Thanks y'all
 
I hear ya, I'm not doing any drugs full stop until at least January, been punishing my body too quickly too much recently.
 
Yeah, nothin but weed and lsd for me until New Years. Hopfully some good molly will show up here between now and then.
 
Hmm now that you mention it.. some acid does sound good hehe. Been awhile :)
 
Imo people are taking this recovery stuff wayy to serious. breaks are good and needed. but i don't see why you should excerise all day and only eat carrots sliced not chopped in blocks.
Some first time rollers asked me lately "Wow its tuesday and I don't want to kill myself what is wrong with me ?"
This whole what comes up must go down talk is true but got taken to level where it isn't useful anymore.

Don't put 100 different pre/post/mid whatever load chemicals into your body. Just live your life like you would, just without abusing MDMA..

I never had a time of abuse with MDMA, always kept it to once a month. Straight after the nightout i get some magensium but thats just for the leg cramps, I hate waking up to cramps. I also do that after a night of drinking.
But apart from that I don't do anything and I feel great. No need for super hi tech piracetam.

Please don't take me wrong I don't mean to insult anyone but it seems to be a trend to pre load odr post load for everything. What about pre-loading for dinner ? Oh wait there are already people taking their Lactose or whatever every morning.

PS: The speed shouldn't be THAT much of a draw back probably as much as having sex for 3 hours (maybe I should preload for that with some 5-htp so I don't get the depressed after coitus....
 
Heh, I hear ya. Btw I don't preload or postload with anything ;) I'm just asking because it's better to avoid any damage instead of fixing it.

its different for everyone, maybe just because you dont need supplements and MDMA doesnt make you or your friends depressed doesnt mean its not necessary. normally if you're getting REAL MDMA then yes you should feel at least a little depression after a few days has passed. if people wanna pre/post load to help reduce harm then by all means, go for it.
