MDMA Anxiety

Hello everyone, new here so go easy on me! I'm planning to take MDMA soon, and it will be the first time i've done it since last year. Unfortunately, when I did it last year I had a very bad experience and suffered a nasty panic attack. This was really weird because I had taken mdma and a lot of other powders previously without ever experiencing anxiety or panic while on it. At the time I was also smoking a lot of weed, but after that panic attack I could barely even smoke weed without having mini panic attacks every time. The anxiety started manifesting itself in my life, and I ended up having a really tough year dealing with my anxiety. Once I accepted that it was anxiety I was able to combat it by exercising and focusing on my studying, and massively cutting down how much weed I smoked, and for the last couple of months I have been much happier and suffered less anxiety. I really want to be able to try MDMA again because I did have wonderful experiences on it and I want to get over my fear of it. I'm excited but extremely apprehensive. I was wondering whether any of you had experience of taking MDMA while already having or recovering from anxiety, and whether any of you had any advice on how to have a good roll basically without focusing on anxiety. I'm currently considering drinking before I do it because when I'm a bit drunk I tend to forget about any anxiety. I hope I haven't broken any of the rules and I would really appreciate any help that can be given! :)

Rolling while having anxiety can really ruin all the good side cause of which you take this drug leaving you with worse side effects and takes you steps back istead of recovering...it's strongly innadvisable i believe talkin by personal exp. A year off is a good time off though :)
 
I used to have a ton of anxiety about rolling. Even thinking about it would make me nervous. I think it started from being dumb about Ecstasy, like taking random pills without being sure what it was, taking too much etc. I got over it by getting some pure MDMA powder, using that, and having a good time. Drinking a little bit beforehand can help, too, and having a benzo on hand helps a bunch too, because then you know if you start to freak out that you can just pop that. The most important thing is just knowing what you have, and being smart about the dose.
 
I think it's the weed maybe. I had my first panic attack on weed and it was horrifying. Also sometimes when I have been smoking weed a lot, some days the anxiety just suddenly appears and it's so bad.. So in my case, it was the weed. Just try to roll without weed and see if it gets better. I have never had any negative experience on MDMA by itself when rolling. Of course I have had anxiety afterwards because I was a big time user but 5HTP is helping me a lot now. :) It is really great to have it after MD. After I started to use it I have no more anxiety anymore whatsoever!

Yeah I agree, definitely gonna not smoke weed while im rolling. Heard a lot about 5HTP aswell and im definitely considering getting some to help with the comedown and my anxiety in general. Still a bit more interested in things that can help me while im rolling, would be really interested to hear about peoples experiences of drinking before taking mdma. Thanks a lot for the replies so far btw guys! :)
 
Just make sure to test what you have to confirm it is indeed Mdma.

Edit: just realized you're referring to anxiety in day to day life. While what I said above still holds true I would avoid rolling for awhile as depleting your your serotonin will only make things worse.
 
Just thought i'd provide a quick update, took the plunge and did it the other night. Had 4 beers beforehand which really helped to get rid of any nerves and anxiety I had, and I ended up having a really good roll :) unfortunately the night did end with me being sick a lot, but I feel that was either a result of the alcohol or the fact that I re-dosed too much. Either way, im just really glad I was able to roll again without experiencing any anxiety or panic! Would like to thank you guys again for your help and replies!
