I've searched but couldnt find anything. I've been taking elavil (amitriptyline) for about 2 months. At the dose of 150 mg for about 1.5 months. I wish to take mdma (in the form of molly) How long should i stop taking the elavil to get a full response from the mdma? Is a week long enough? Anyone who has personal experience or not is welcome to answer. Im trying to get an idea of how long i should abstain from the elavil. I also take suboxone and klonopin.

Thanks to anyone who responds.

I have a friend who is a cosmetic surgeon and organic chemist who I can ask for you and report back later today if he knows a clear answer.

Without knowing anything about amitriptyline, I would investigate it on it's own and determine what similar drugs in it's cateregory are reported on what it comes to MDMA use. I know 1 week is rarely enough time when it comes to SSRI's- but I don't know what category your medication falls into.

In general, if you're on drugs that interfere with MDMA, it's usually for a reason, and stopping your use should be a personal long term decision for you with the help and assistance of your doctor to do it properly- not so you can enjoy MDMA for a special event or reason. If you're supposed to be going off these drugs anyway, I'd wait as long as possible so you can safely enjoy MDMA and have a fulfilling experience.
