this is a pretty dangerous combo. as tramadol has SSRI properties it increases the amount of serotonin in the brain. mdma works on the same pretense that serotonin is increased vastly.

you are at risk of serotonin syndrome which can be fatal and extremely uncomfortable.

if you were to take the tramadol i'd wait AT LEAST 6-8 hours after dosing it, and it might even help the comedown slightly but you are still at a high risk of serotonin syndrome. i'd steer clear of it.

^ synth pretty much covered it, no, they are not safe to mix. You're at risk from serotonin syndrome, as well as seizures from lowered threshold.

Avoid, definitely avoid.

Tram has a secondary profile as an SNRI, and can / will cause SS used in conjunction with a serotonin releaser.

Edit: Tram doesn't directly increase (release) serotonin, it prevent the reuptake of present serotonin in the synapse. Yes the overall is increased, but it's not a releaser like MDMA is. Combined, this is very bad.

I'm gonna close this up as it's been answered, but I'd like to add one tid-bit.

With the research I'd done before (disappointedly not) taking LSD while on Tram, I would suggest waiting 3-4 days after the final dose of Tramadol before taking anything that's a serotonin modifier (releaser, reuptake inhibitor, etc).
