MDMA and St. Johns Wort

Hello, I have taken about 1800mg of St. Johns Wort yesterday, and this is the first time I have taken it. I just took another 1800mg this morning and then threw it up because I started reading about the problems that arise with mixing it with MDMA. I'm wondering if I would be fine taking some form of MDMA by in a day or two. I'm going to a festival this weekend and really want to have some good tripping experiences.

I think you'll be okay, but it might interfere with your roll. People think St. John's Wort is an MAO inhibitor, and therefore could cause serotonin syndrome.

St. John's Wort is not an MAO inhibitor (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3201991/).

Unless there's some other mechanism to make it unsafe, I think you'll be okay.

I've happily mixed the two and not experienced any problems! Some will tell you not to do it as st john's wort might be an SSRI/MAOI/etc. I've not noticed anything of the sorts when mixing it with drugs... It does seem to decrease the effectiveness of some drugs as it upregulates some of the liver CYP enzymes (including 3A4, which metabolises about 50% of all known drugs).
