idk if anyone else has asked about this, but when i used to roll a fuckton i used to get this weird side effect.
i would get dizzy upon standing and my vision would go black and my hearing would go fuzzy.
i was diagnosed with postural hypotension (low blood pressure upon standing) when i was 12, but it doesn't affect me much unless i've been drinking heavily or rolling.
This past Saturday I rolled. I'm honestly not sure how much I took, but it was definitely not the most I've ever done.
And the dizziness was back. Not to the extent that it was there when I used to roll all the time (I actually passed out from it multiple times back then), but it was there.
So it got me wondering, has anyone else experienced this?
any explanations or comments?

It's hard to really know without knowing what your resting blood pressure tends to be. People with orthostatic hypotension tend to be taller and more slender, so their heart has to work harder to send blood to the brain and extremities.

What you describe is consistent with hypoxia, and that happens for any number of reasons.

A few things I can think of off the top of my head...

If you tend to black out later on in the roll, then:

MDMA depletes electrolytes in the body, and loss of electrolytes lowers blood pressure significantly. Without electrolytes your body cannot hold water and overall blood volume decreases, causing lowered blood pressure. Be sure that you are drinking not just water but water with electrolyte content (like gatorade).

MDMA makes the body hotter, and vaso-dilation also lowers blood pressure. Make sure you are not overheating and at least take breaks in well-ventilated spaces that are cooler (like outside).

You should make sure you're well fed and hydrated before you ever roll. If you only ate once all day then chances are your blood quality is less and MDMA is going to deplete you or overheat you.

If you tend to black out during the come up then it may be heart related and you should stop doing MDMA immediately until you can get heart testing done.

I say all this for educational purposes only. Although I am a medical professional I am not your doctor and cannot diagnose accurately over the internet.

Ahh, that makes sense. I have never heard of mdma decreasing electrolytes. I'll keep that in mind for the future. I went to a cardiologist in january because of my mdma-related passing out and my heart was fine. I should have been more clear that the hypoxia and blacking out always has occurred after I have come off my roll, never during. Also, last saturday i had only eaten a blt and french fries from my work (Hooters) all day.

I would put a little thought into checking if the blood sugar crash from MDMA is multiplying your current medical condition.

dehydration = low blood pressure = passing out/light headed when standing. happenes to me routinely and was worse the day after a roll.
