Poll please MazDan, Zzyzx, RGB or purplefirefly..

Have you abused MDMA and have you experienced anything along the lines of speach problems (hard to speak fluently / stuttery talk / can't find the right word?!) or anxiety (general anxiety, social anxiety, etc..), cognitive problems (finding it hard to concentrate, feelin more "dumb"), memory problems (short term, long term, eh?), depression (feeling low and negative, lack of energy, etc etc..), or anythin else (please tell what)..

So..

I have abused MDMA and am fine :p

I have abused MDMA and have 1 or more long lasting problems :(

I have not abused MDMA and am fine :p

I have not abused MDMA and have 1 or more long lasting problems :(

I know that alot of other factors come into this sort of survey such as other drugs used, amount used and predetermined psychological illnesses etc.... i am planning on getting round to other parts and cross referencing them etc etc

Please leave as much information (without writing your autobiography :p) as possible in relation to the survey. Or if you can't be bothered.. please just leave what you voted for.. please :)

I'll start in next post..

Abused.. heavily..

Way too much, way too often.. for about 2 years i was taking between 6 and 20 decent, relatively clean pills every weekend.. from friday to saturday. Pure MDMA was used aswell, in this time.. For around another year i was taking MDMA but nowhere near every weekend..

I have pretty much all the problems i listed.. i am on SSRI's to help with depression and anxiety (me thinks they cause eachother, somehow 8)) I have not used MDMA for.. oooooh a long time atleast a year+.. but have used other drugs.. which i'll get into next time :p

I've used it only since last summer and even I can feel the negative effects.
First month rolled like 5 times... after that once a month July-August but had 3-4 pills each time.
September-Oct once a month 1 pill each night.
Have been clean since Halloween. :)

Speech problems: can't find the right word ---especially in my second language which I haven't been using as much lately, but also in English. Have to think a lot about my sentences. Words come out put together/omitted/wrong much more often than they used to.

Anxiety ---really prominent when I smoke certain weeds... and it almost feels scary how strong it is. Feel like I can't even look around to see other people. Sober it makes me want to avoid eye contact.

Memory problems ---both short and long term. Can't remember shit pretty much haha

Depression ---starting to go away, but definitely lack of energy. More of a blank feeling.

After all, I think one month breaks are nothing in terms of what your brain needs to recup. :\

Speech problems: I never stutter, but my somewhat large vocabulary seems to escape me for awhile after i roll, the larger or less used words in my speech just dont make it into the conversation. sometimes ill sit there and have to think of the word im looking for.

Anxiety --- Never had issues with this, never really have anxiety, or when i do its just because im way too high and goes away shortly.

Memory problems --- my short and long term memory is pretty shot for a few weeks afterward, takes more effort to learn new things too.

Depression - Occasionally i'll have a day where i ponder just how "useful" i am and i feel a little bit hopeless concerning my future... after about a month these days go away and my normal optimism returns.

Speech problems: I def arient as clear as I used 2 be. I used to be able to not even think about saying words they just came naturally; sometimes ill have to think about what I say. Hard to explain.

Anxiety- I have expieriences of anxiety much more often now. Smoking weed actually makes it worse (which it used to make it better before I started rolling), I will sometimes get paranoid/worried about smaller stuff more often.

Memory problems: I am not as clear as I used 2 be both short term and longterm.

Depression- comes and goes. I know the next couple days after I use mdma I get depressed sometimes, but it can sometimes be (not as bad) a few weeks after, and I just generally get stressed easier than I used too.

Been rolling for close to 3 years and abused it heavily my first year. Only roll roughly once a month now.

I've been using MDMA for approximately 2 years, I'm 19. I roll once every 1-3 months. I usually take 1 strong pill per roll, although I have taken as much as 4 strong pills in a night. I preload and postload with extremely large amounts of various antioxidants, mainly alpha lipoic acid. I also postload with 5htp.

Speech problems - No, I have not experienced any difficulty expressing myself.
Anxiety - None. In the weeks following MDMA use, I feel more open and social. I find it easy to get on the dancefloor and lose myself. I find it easier to approach women I find attractive.
Cognitive problems - None. My ability to learn and concentrate have not been affected. College work has not been affected.
Memory problems - When using MDMA my ability to memorize names is affected. I will receive texts from people saying "Hey it's _____ from the rave" and I can't connect the names to the faces, especially if the name is generic. This subsides after a day or two. No long term memory issues.
Depression - Never, not even in the days following MDMA use.

I have not abused MDMA and only used twice, but I still have all of those problems (before trying MDMA, just to be clear).

Anxiety can pretty much case the other three on the list. I have social anxiety disorder, that's anxiety ticked off. I've also had a few episodes of clinical depression. I'm also an absent minded person (made terrible by anxiety) so I have a bit of cognitive/memory (attention??) problems but not bad enough to really interfere with my life.

Keep in mind that it might go the way. People like me might be trying to self medicate those symptoms. When I rolled... goodbye depression and anxiety! Although my concentration also went completely out the door too :P I wonder if I would abuse MDMA if I had the chance (Had access to proper contacts).

I've used it 9 times over the course of 7 years and I now have a permanent nerve condition.

I don't know if the ecstasy caused it but....?

I have not abused xtc.
(used 8 times in the last 2 years)

and I have depression and anxiety that I didn't before use
and they appeared out of no where after about the second time. . .

also i used to have a little stutter and after e its more pronounced.
memory sucks now. . .really bad.
and even typing I have to edit more than usually.

mdma is real.
and that shit stays with you for life. . .
but now that I am already fucked up
no point is saying to never use it again . .

pole should be less confusing. why is there an option for "have not abused mdma and have 1 or more problems"?
not really a necessary option IMO

but yeah on another note

mdma has permanent effects in certain people.

Id stop using dude, the shit can get much worse. At least give yourself a chance to recover your serotonin system.

I have rolled 7 times total, started my use 8 months ago. I don't seem to have a noticeable difference. I AM more foggier for a bit after use, but it goes away.

I have used approx 25 times in 18 months. I used more than .5 gram on a number of those nights, and over a gram on one occasion. Prior to using MDMA, I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Clinical Depression. My symptoms, and life, have improved since starting to experiment with the drug. I discussed my use with my therapist, and decided that moderate use is of benefit for me.

Speech: no problem

Anxiety: symptoms improved over prior condition

Cognitive: only 48 hours afterward -slow thinking

Memory: difficulty in recalling nouns - similar to pot side effect- lasts from 2 days to 2 weeks. I recently took a memory test (MQ) scored 'very good' range.

Depression: A little more than half the time following use, I'll experience symptoms of depression
for a up to five days.

I believe that frequent, heavy use may result in serious biological and psychological issues. Some people have decided to do their personal development in such a crucible - I hope not to. Your body will tell you when you're pushing it. This drug is an awesome power to be respected and revered!

You must have an amazingly resilient brain to have no negative effects. Im jealous man. Especially considering you had prior conditions. Keep on rollin.

lol I've used 8 times in actually 2 and a half years. . .
thats about 5 months inbetween.
its doesn't matter how long I wait
it started after the first use. . .
im really sensitive to e and it opened a lot of doors that were shut before use.

I've not abused it. 7 uses over 3 years, all more then 7 years ago. Always a single dose as pills were $25 or more in the US. Always double stacked, although that does not mean a higher dose, just a bigger pill.

I've honestly had nothing but positives. My "hangover" was a tired from physical activity but peaceful afterglow. I dropped much negativity and became more social, and probably why it is illegal, more liberal....

For those of you that have had problems, I do not want to discount your experiences. It is more then possible a small percentage can suffer very strong adverse effects. All drugs have that. But certainly some of you could benefit from laying of the pot or other drugs. Pot can cause anxiety as well so you need to get away from every thing that can cause it.

Before MDMA I had a bit of anxiety, that was due to being a foster home child and having a rough childhood. I was actually able to come to terms with it on MDMA. It turned out that my anxiety, which was originally aggravated by pot, but lasted long after I stopped. It was not at it's core a chemical imbalance but a psychological issue.
