MDMA and Heart Problems

So, let me bgin by saying i've got absolutely no reason to think I've got a heart problem. For almost a year I was a hypochondriac. I lived a compeltely anxiety filled life and thought I was dieing all the time. This was after some HUGE (dangeous) dose adderall binges and some dangerous mephedrone binges (5g in 1 night; done on 3 seperate occasions, i combined mephedrone, methylone, and butylone). After this i thought i had a heart problem. I had a echocardiogram of my heart about 6 months ago (which was like 3 or 4 months after those binges) and all was fine. I've had full CBC's and everything is fine.
Sometimes if I drink caffiene my body twitches hard core (especially if i combine that with pot) and i havn't taken any other stimulants. My BP sometimes is a little high 130/85, but usually its pretty good. I am 18.

Anyway, a year later, a year of no drugs and I'm finally getting out of that trap of thinking im dieing. I'm thinking of taking some MDMA to help end it off, you know? Do you think this is advisable? What tests could I go get at the doctor to MAKE sure theres no underlaying heart problem?

If I did this I would probably take 1-2mg of a benzo beforehand.

Maybe it's not your heart physically but an adrenaline problem? Have you been tested for that? Your adrenaline gland may be tweaked by those binges you mentioned, or perhaps something similar in hormone level maintenance that also explains hypertension tendencies.

Why don't you ask the doctor though? Afraid about stuff in your medical file?

1-2 mg of a benzo doesn't say anything unless you mention which benzo. ;)

Taking MDMA might be therapeutic for you but it could also cause a panic attack that sets you back. Who knows? I don't think we do, but maybe someone here has some personal experience with something similar...

I have gotten more prone to anxiety from use of things like methylone, it appears. :\

I've had all sorts of physical symptoms due to anxiety, if your tests came back normal I wouldn't worry too much. Caffeine is enough to make the problem worse if you are sensitive to it, I know it doesn't do me any good even though I still drink it.

If you are using MDMA with the intention to work through your negative thought patterns, I would recommend taking it alone or with a close friend. I find this much more useful for having a therapeutic experience rather than taking it to go dancing.

Why do you want to take the benzos beforehand? If you are taking them regularly it may not cause much of a problem but otherwise I would imagine there is a chance it could decrease the intensity of your roll. Why not just keep them on hand for in case the anxiety comes? I usually take 0.5-1.0mg xanax and smoke some weed when I'm coming down, helps make things smoother.

If you decide to take MDMA, please make sure your dose is within reasonable limits with little or no redoses. 130mg is my sweet spot, for instance. I find that too large of a redose gives me bad anxiety and the euphoria turns into stimm'd out shivers and a weird/uncomfortable head space which completely counteracts the positive, sought-after effects. Otherwise I feel great and the experience is awesome. Elevated heart rate yes, but only slightly, and it's non-worrisome.

be careful, i didnt use MDMA for years and then i tried a few times and my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest, i had to get in an ice cold shower just ot keep my body temp down and after a few hours i felt normal, but be careful u never know when it could happen
