Hello All!

My question is the last 3-4 times I have used MDMA, pure tested, only crystals which I bomb always. I obviously have a great fun night, and have some jaw clenching, but not extreme. I don't think that is a factor anyways, but I have been waking up feeling fine, nice afterglow and everything, but after about an hour of waking up I get a really fuzzy sound in my ears, and I have a hard time hearing for the day after? I was just curious if anyone else has had these issues, and what it is that might cause this? I have no problems when I'm on the drug, just the day after.

I usually take 125mg's first bomb, then re-dose with about 75mg's an hour and a half later. Found this is my sweet spot.. I always space my 'rolls' out at least 2 months apart, usually 3-4. But I have done mdma for probably 14 yrs, and have taken 30-40 rolls my entire life, but this has only started happening the last 3-4 times.

So any experiences, or explanation to this would be great! And maybe anything to help combat this would be appreciated. Thanks All!

No, just usually chilling at home with the wife, or maybe a few buddies. No loud music, just some chilling music at a pretty low level.

^^^ thank you. Nobody could answer my question here, so I posted in ADD and was moved cause I guess it wasn't good enough..:) just wanting to know why that has been happening? Is there a chemical change that happens within the body, or could it be a chemical imbalance? As you can see no one can still answer this question. And mods have obviously seen my second post was moved and haven't said anything, but sometimes wannabe's have to feel important too I guess? That's ok buddy thanks for the help..;)

MDMA isn't linked to Tinnitus, so I don't think that it could possibly be the root of your "hearing issues". Maybe you could try posting a couple of detailed trip reports about the nights before your hearing got fuzzy and we can try to conclude something from there?

I hate to say this because I know it's annoying as hell, but I think your best shot at finding a solution to this would be to go to your doctor. Let me know about that trip report(s)! :\

Well my trip reports aren't anything too exciting, I have been dropping at home with just one or two people usually 150mg's followed by a 75 mg bomb right at bout 1.5 hrs later. Just chilling with low music, talking, chatting, maybe going for a little walk, watching a few trippy vids, nothing too exciting, last 3-4 trips. So I don't know? I don't over due it at all, always space my rolls out well, and know the product is good because I always test my crystal whenever I get it, so I don't know? Just kind of has me baffled.

This is not correct.

MDMA can mess with the senses and very much cause tinnutus including issues with jaw ache etc. A very brief search will demonstrate many people who have had these issues.

I doubt the problem is to do with your hearing but to do with the brain / sensory perception. Of course get your hearing checked to be sure.

This symptom possibley demonstrates some type of down regulation maybe to do with age / 14 years of taking.

Perhaps try a longer break such as 6 months to a year and during this time look into suppliments and really looking after your brain and body. Once this time has passed try another session and see if the symptom persists. You could also try reducing the dose see if that improves things.

Any attempt at working this out will always be very difficult to pin point from my own experience of doctors and drug related issues I suspect they will conclude there is nothing wrong with you and send you on your way. Worth a try of course :)

My experience has been that with mixing MDMA and MJ I would get a rining and a "plugged up" feeling in the ears. MDMA by itself didn't cause this but weed by itself did. mixing MDMA and weed made it more pronounsed. most people that I have seen here mix MDMA and weed in one way or another wether is be by having a joint before, during, or on the comedown. This maybe your issue if you are mixing the 2.

MDMA Erowid Effects

While not all the effects of MDMA are listed, there are tons of factors that can come into play here which could lead to the ringing issues you are having.

I had a similar issue on my post-MDMA comedown where I would hear echoes. As in when I flushed the toilet, it would echo loudly etc. It goes away in time. Just remember that not everybody has the same side-effects post-MDMA. I was expecting a month of severe-depression after I irresponsibly went on a binge for four days. Instead I was just only moderately-depressed/fatigued with bizarre crying spells that lasted for a little over a week.

Cliche but true - Time heals all wounds. Be it for good or bad.

Thanks guys for the answers and thoughts on this matter!

Futura- could be the case, I usually space my rolls out good, but the past 2 yrs. been doing it about every 2-3 months, and anywhere from 150-250 mg's at a time. So maybe as I get older it is having a harsher effect on certain areas or regions in my brain.? Maybe longer breaks, and little lower doses might help. And it only happens the day after, so I think going to doc. will not do a whole lot.

Matt- I don't mix weed and mdma cause I don't smoke anymore, but that could be an issue to people that do. Good thinking.

Diloadid- could be right as well, a lot of people have different side effects, and everyone's brain chemistry is different, so could just be over time the brain is trying to fight off the toxins that are produced by mdma, and just a strange side effect I'm developing now..:(

I mean unless it is alarming you, I would just consider it a side effect that passes in time. If it still bothers you, a doctor might be of some assistance.
