MDMA and E stopped working possibly since taking ADHD meds. even once I stopped them.

So I know there have been previous threads on how people with ADHD can react in the opposite way to stimulants.
I have ADHD and when i drop i have no energy and can't be bothered to do anything. It's not even euphoric because i get frustrated because I want to be up dancing and having fun and I'm just too lazy to move. I try and stay on my feet and keep dancing and even if I manage to it's a constant effort and just not that fun. I'll be in the perfect mood, at a great night, so excited and happy and not tired and I'll drop and BOOM knackered.
BUT here's the thing... this never used to happen. The first time i ever dropped was the summer before last and whilst I took longer to come up I eventually came up so hard I had a total disorientated panic attack on the way up I was having waves of the saddest feelings i'd ever had in my life, but it passed and everyone was a bit weirded out because we've never heard of that happening but we just got over it and I had the best day ever. I couldn't believe how incredible it was. so I took it probably once a month over the next year and a couple of times i didn't really come up but it was generally good anyway and when it was great it was great.
then at some point it just stopped working, it was so weird but all of a sudden I started reacting as described before as with no energy at all. I doubt it was 'really clean stuff' or shit stuff, it was from the same people, everyone else was reacting the same as before. And I went from reacting how you'd expect to being a total zombie. I kept trying with stuff from all over the place, same reaction. so i tried pills and energy drinks and coke and nothing could perk me up.
I've now put it down to the fact around the same time I'd started taking Concerta for my ADHD. I knew it could effect it and thought it might add to the effects so I would stop taking it 2-3 days before dropping for fear of a heart attack. but I never guessed it could be that stopping me coming up.. but even after over a week not taking the concerta I still couldn't come up.
It was all around the same time that I first tried pills, ket and coke too, not sure if they could have had an impact.

basically I just want to know if anyone can make sense of any of this. it's now been almost a year since I've rolled and I miss it like crazy.
has the concerta made me forever immune to MDMA? or if i stop taking it long enough will MDMA likely work again?
clearly it wasn't my ADHD that made me react backwards because i didn't originally?
could something else have caused this change?

but if i stop for a few weeks it should work? i'm not forever immune now or anything?

Yes, if you stop for a few weeks you should be able to feel MDMA again. Those of us who do not suffer ADD-/-ADHD but take SSRIs (I take Prozac) know that we cannot roll properly when taking SSRIs. Something to do with Prozac having a higher affinity for SERT than MDMA does, therefore displacing MDMA from SERT and thus preventing the roll. This is super sucky with Prozac as it has like a half-life of up to 6 days. So I literally have to wait a few weeks before rolling :/

its so weird because my doctor said my slow release concerta is meant to stop having an effect after 12 hours, and be out of my system within a couple of days. obviously bullshitting. guess he didn't know i'd have this issue and figure out that it wasn't so simple and in and out of my body as promised!

At a guess I'd say you may have developped NA/DA receptor tolerance and your actually getting clean MDMA... This is blunting the effects of NA/DA of MDMA which are already minor enough, couple that with serotonin and dopamine lower each others levels and well, that's what you get.

This happened to me after using MDMA+amphetamine combos, eventually I built up a tolerance to DA/NA so when I had just straight MDMA it would be a mass of serotonin with no DA/NA and I would feel like a zombie.

Have you ever rolled whilst on your medication? On a side note, what does your medication do to you, do you get the paradoxical ADHD recation?

Never whilst on it no. I think my meds just seem to make me way more pro active and productive. I don't really have the hyper active side of adhd that much manly just attention. so it doesn't particularly calm me, just make me more focussed. although sometimes just feel quite worn out and tired while on my medication.

so could I get my tolerance back down if i stopped taking the meds for long enough? even when taking pills instead of MDMA i still get zombiefied and its been from such various sources i can't imagine its anything to do with the particular MDMA i"m taking. because its all different and i always react the same.

May or may not even have ADHD...? If you don't your just going to be frying your DA/NA system and become dependant on it AND experience what you are describing when taking MDMA.

... Or you have lost the magic? Are you testing your MDMA?
