I hope this hasn't been covered yet, I looked around a bit and didn't see it. Besides I can't afford to take chances these days.

Does anyone know if there is a positive way to test a pill that has mdma and be sure that there is no dxm? Possibly through a series of tests?

Swim recently switched sources and is allergic to dxm and is no longer sure of the contents of what he is getting. Dxm is deadly to swim however the process is counteracted with a double dose of benadryl. With that in mind, does anyone know how bad the effects would be if Swim took said pill and had to take benadryl to counter the reaction?

Thank you for any comments:D

I had asked someone from dancesafe long time ago about using the Marquis reagent for this particular test and they said that if both chemicals were present you would not be able to see the indications of dxm.

So I wonder if this is this same for the Mecke reagent or if perhaps the solution will turn yellow first before proceeding to dark purple indicating both substances are present.

From what I read it seems the other tests(Mandelin, Robadope and Simon's) are useless when testing for dxm. If I am mistaken please let me know.

You would be correct, the best reagent to test DXM would be Mecke. The color changes with Marquis can look identical to MDxx, especially if it is mixed with DXM. I would trust the Mecke over Marquis when testing for DXM. Stay safe! :)
