MDMA and body temperature regulation.

Does MDMA affect body temperature regulation on the long run? Iv abstained for almost 3 whole months.

Lately i'v been very sick, it seems im much more prone to the flu now, I get cold very easy, and cant stand lower temperatures with winter.

Its been almost 5 weeks and I still have a very bad flu/lung infection, I'v just started anitbotics.

During this period, iv had a bunch of half assed fevers. Like my body was trying to go into fever mode, but it just wasnt quite there.

I am kind of worried that mdma useage has affected my ablitily to regulate body tempature, and having fevers to help fight off flu.

Is there any scientific rational for this? I didnt want to ask the doctor.
 
MDMA is a vasoconstrictor. The opposite of Viagra if you want. It will make your blood vessels contract and shrink. This will lower your body's ability to self regulate its temperature. However, not unlike those of Viagra, those effects are temporary.

Long lasting, unexplained fever is worrisome. You should cease using drugs and see a doctor asap.
 
MDMA does lower your immune system a lot, actually. Most of my friends refer to getting sick after a rave as "raver flu". Lots of people I know get sick after raves. One person is sick and it just spreads to all the other people on drugs (with lowered immune systems).
 
ive never had problems with high body temps while rolling much less after rolling. ive been to parties where the heater was blasting and i was doing glowsticks sweating my ass off and never felt like i was over heating. i wonder if people blow this aspect out of proportion. the only deaths i have heard of that were cause by over heating involved alcohol which dehydrates you.

first off, when dealing with drugs, never underestimate something that can happen to you. The possibility of overheating while rolling is not blown out of proportion. Just because it doesnt happen to you, doesnt mean it doesnt happen to others.
Overheating is very possible, and happens to many people. I find that it's easier to overheat on higher doses.
And just because you might not die, doesn't mean overheating is safe and or tolerable..
To the OP, I don't know much regarding MDMA affecting body temperature AFTER rolling though.
