Mdma And Anti-depressants - Mega Merged

Mirtazapine (Remeron) will effect your roll, it will alter the way it feels, but it may or may not lessen the strength of the roll.

In wich way will it alter the way i feel it? And, is it not possible it will strenghten the roll, or only MAYBEE lessen it?

Im planning to use ecstasy soon.. Been on remeron for maybee 1 year now.. And free from ecstasy about the same..

Another question, should I skip taking remeron the day im planning to drop E ?

^ we have already discussed your situation and came to the conclusion that you shouldn't be off your meds. i'm sticking by my decision that you should consult with your dr. before coming off of your meds.

that being said, i don't think stopping 1 day before your roll will help. you've been taking the meds for about a year so they will most definitely be in your body. i'm guessing 2 weeks would be sufficient but as i've said, i think you should continue with your meds and wait a little longer before taking MDMA again.

I know there's allready a FAQ on this subject, but it doesn't answer the questions I see day after day.

I'm on an antidrepressant, can I roll? Chances are, no. If you're on an SSRI (e.g. Citalopram (Celexa), Escitalopram (Lexapro), Fluoxetine (Prozac), Fluvoxamine (Luvox), Paroxetine (Paxil) and Sertraline (Zoloft)) if you take MDMA, you will not feel much of anything.

I didn't have much joy taking pills while I was on Lexapro -- I'd feel relaxed but not energetic or euphoric.

But I've been taking Aurorix/Arima (moclobemide) and on a good pill I'll have a great trip -- I just won't feel anything at all on a crappy pill.

Luvox

i have been off and on my meds (200mg Luvox daily) for years now.
I recently started back on them about 2-3 weeks ago.
I would like to try my first roll successfullly, out of experience for anyone else out there what kind of clean out period does the medication require? I know its half life is 16 hours - but how does that relate to cleaning it totally out of your system???? (never had any withdrawl systems) Would appreciate some guidance.

^ why did you go back on your meds? were you instructed to do so by a dr. or did you feel you needed to be on them? if it was the former, i wouldn't suggest getting off them until your dr. gives you the ok. if it was the latter, i wouldn't suggest just starting up your meds again without the consult of a dr. first but either way, you should give it about 2-3 weeks of being off your meds before you decide to roll.

thanks for your suggestion. i rolled successfully without my meds for roughly two weeks. it was a great experience.

ps i do need them and i am back on them. i know its not the best thing to do for my health, but then again neither is rolling :)

And we should take your advice because....???

WTF man?? That sounds like some kind of cracked out meth commercial, or something....

People need to remember that EVERY *BODY* is different. Not just everybody, but EVERY - BODY!!!!! (body being the key word here.)
lmfao!.....yep very true. we are all biologically different and we all react differently to different things.

I heard on Erowid that SSRI's after the roll can bring you back to normal. I tried it and I think it did help. I wonder why MDMA isn't an antidepressant in itself. That would rule.

^ you need to be careful with taking SSRIs directly after rolling as it can cause serotonin syndrome.

as for MDMA being an antidepressant, i don't think that will ever happen. MDMA releases serotonin into the brain and basically depletes the serotonin you have. since serotonin is responsible for mood, MDMA can CAUSE depression, not alleviate it. The reason one is so happy and lovey when they're under the influence is because of the release of serotonin, not because it's improving the "balance" of chemicals in the brain thought to cause depression.

i believe taking ecstasy caused my anxiaty, depression and panic attacks and made them worse.. im now on 20mg citalopram daily and would never pill wile on the med as i know it would make me worse.
If you have depression mdma aint for you

i'm sorry to hear your roll didn't go well, better luck next time.

are you going back on the wellbutrin? i'm not sure what happened in rehab or why the dr. prescribed it to you but if it was a good reason, you may want to consider getting a refill.

^ i am not going to get as refill of wellbutrin. i noticed no positive effects (or negative, for that matter.) other people in my treatment center said they felt noticable results from taking the wellbutrin. they also said they could tell when they didn't take it. so therefore, to me, the only result of taking wellbutrin is not being able to roll. i am not satisfied with those results. this is a couple days later from my original post and i just insufflated that last roll i had. i'll let u know if i get any results. i'm assuming i will experience nothing.

Can someone help me out and let me know if they know anything about pamelor. Will I be able to roll? It doesn't say it's a ssri. Any help would be great.

Nortriptyline is in a group of drug called tricyclic antidepressant. Search with the engine with this word.
