Mdma And Anti-depressants - Mega Merged

I can't gauge how much worse my rolls are because i had a long break of nearly a year before trying it again recently while on prozac. Some people claim to not roll at all, well i definitely feel empaphy, intimacy, honesty etc..., and i still get a body buzz. I can roughly recal how well it compares to the last time i used it, but that was pure MDMA and no antidepressants, and i can't compare it to that with the pills we get. That was a one off glastonbury purchase in the middle of the year, half way through my break...So my last pill high was long before that, therefore, i can't compare. I wish there was a way to measure someone high...I'm guessing that would be complex and subjective

how much do you think 200mg of Wellbutrin a day could suppress the effects of MDMA? Im just curious because I'm prescribed for it.

I would like to note here that my average mood since starting using mdma again has gone down below the level to which it was while on my prozac drug therapy but not taking mdma. I did not hear one single person warn me that it might affect the treatment in this way, why not???

Now of course there are other factors affected my mood, but as it is generally lower, and nothing too major has changed recently, i would suggest the mdma probably has something to do with it. I am using twice a month at the moment, and have used three times since starting my medication. I intend to cut back to using once a month, however, given the above information, would it be better if i quit completely?

I'm guessing the obvious answer is yes, but i can still gain many positive effects from rolling and really don't want to quit any time soon...sigh

I heard sombody say earlier that if you have been on ati-depresents for a while and stop for a few weeks to roll, that there is a great decrease in the feeling of it. I'v been on lexapro for a few weeks now and plan on pillin for many more years. Anyone have any advice for me to stop if it will effect this for the rest of my life. Thankx

i seem to get excellent rolls and im on aropax (paroxetine), sodium valproate and olanzepine
i have never taken E wen not on anti-depressants of sum kind
granted i can drop up to 5-6 pills in a night
maybe naturally i have a sensitivity to it

SSRI & Rolling

Hi I,m new
You may already have covered this. See information on EROWID for this subject; covers each type of antidepressant. From what I have read SSRI's generally block the effect of mdma & acid for 8 wks. I have found this also applies to the psychedelic side of cannabis as well, leaving me with just the sedative effect (although that does not make sense chemistry wise). Taking ssri's after rolling is a good idea as this stops / reduces the damage to the dendrites that happens in the three days after your session. I think Shulgin recommends 20mg Prozac, one a day for three days.

So what drugs CAN you use effectively while on prozac? I need something that is either totally uneffected or hardly effected. I would of course do plently of research and use the drug responsibly...but i need a new drug, psychadelic, euphoric, or sedative, sounds good to me.

cannabis and psychedelics are largely uneffected by SSRIs, in general.

I know that the general consensus is that if you need drugs such as these to stabilize your mood, you shouldn't be taking MDMA, but that aside, I've been newly prescribed Wellbutrin and a mood stabilizer called Abilify (aripiprazole), and I'm unsure still as to whether I will actually be taking them (I don't feel that my condition is that unmanagable). I know that Wellbutrin is not an SSRI, but what are the effects of mood stabilizers on the effectiveness and/or quality of the MDMA experience?

I have been on psychiatric meds in the past (two years ago, before I started using) and haven't noticed any problems. Before I decide whether or not to go back on the meds, I'd like to know what kind of impact it might have. thanks :)

For the effect that wellbutrin has, see the first post in this thread. For the Aripiprazole, I suggest you start a new thread on the subject, as it's a seperate topic.

anyone know about depakote and seroquel.. I was taking those two up til a week ago.. but no longer am taking them ( doctors o.k.).. but its only been a week.. Will it effect my roll?
I remember doing a couple pills last october while on depakote and I still rolled pretty hard. though I missed my dose that day..
I don't know about the seroquel though.

Well it seems that some people can "roll" when theyre on Effexor. I can only speak for myself but personally I coudn't. Also, it was the first time I tried MDMA, and it was a pure pill. I'm in the process of getting off my Effexor actually. I've been on 75 mg for the first two months of taking it, then over a period of a month dropped down to about 9 mg. Apparently even this tiny dose was too much for anything to happen.

Anyway I've got a question - assuming I'm off Effexor for a month, then try my luck again with MDMA. I'm reading reports here from people on certain anti depressants who after getting off their AD'S, couldn't really get high on it again, even after time went by. I'm sad to hear that because I'd like to experience MDMA. For those of you who have gotten off of Effexor, could you get high on Effexor after sufficient time passed? Please also include your dose and the amount of time you were on it. Really I'd be interested in hearing from as many people as possible

thanks a lot guys

When taking 10mg once a day for 30 days, the amount of active citalopram in your body should reach the maximum 40mg [considering it has a half life of ~36 hours].

If you decide to abrubtly stop taking citalopram [not recommended] then you will need 30 days of abstinence for the amount of citalopram left in the system to become a value less than 0.001mg.

What about Lorazepam (Ativan) and MDMA? Can someone still roll if they take Lorazepam daily? Will the effects be reduced at all?

I was on prozac for years, probably around three, and I have been off it for about a year.

I roll complete fucking face, I am such a lightweight.

I'm probably going to be trying antidepressants and/or benzo's on a daily basis soon. Does anyone have a nice list or know of one where I could find the do's and don't's of mixing antidepressants and regularly used benzo's with other mind/body/spiritual... ect. altering substances?
Would most psychologists/MD's be able/willing to give this info, do you think?
