My girlfriend has been taking 50mg Zoloft since last spring. I didn't do my research and she tried rolling with me a couple times in the past 3 months, and she felt no effects. They were good pills as I did the same kind, but all she noticed was the insomnia, but she enjoyed it since she was pretty drunk. I learned about the effects of SSRI with MDMA, and she decided to stop taking them. Now I know the dangers of SSRI withdrawal, but she didn't notice any adverse effects, and her being prescribed was more due to personal issues than a real psychiatric problem. She stopped taking it 2 wednesdays ago, and I was wondering if it would be worth it for her to try again this weekend.

you could try it but don't get your hopes up. most people say that they can feel the effects of MDMA about a month after they stop taking an ssri. an ssri can also make permanent changes in the brain that can cause a person to never be able to roll again but that is most associated with taking it for an extended period of time so I would not be too worried about that...but it is a possibility.

If she does try it this weekend she should just take one dose and see if she gets any effects. if not she ill need to wait longer.

I think it would be worth trying a small dose, since SSRI's suck at raising serotonin and thus probably don't cause much receptor de-sensitization, and I doubt MDMA's very potent release of serotonin/oxytocin would be blunted by previous use of Zoloft that long ago.

thanks, my man actually got robbed for his money on the deal...so it wont be this weekend anyway.
