MDMA after Cepralix (SSRI) discontinuation: how long?

Hello

First post. I have recently started taking Cepralix for anxiety; 10 mg/day. Its been a little over a week now. I have only taken mdma 3 times before; one time when I was only 5 days into the cepralix. Once i started on the meds, I had wondered if I could still roll. I did a lot of reading (here) and found out that basically ssri's kill the effects. Since I was only 5 days in however, I thought that mabye the meds hadnt reached their effective concentration (since ssri's need to build up over a couple weeks) and decided to give it a go on night out. However, when I rolled that time, it did basically nothing! If anything, I noticed a slight increase in temperature and mabye felt a little bit more vigilant. However, no feelings of empathy, elevated mood or all those nice things.

I any case, im gonna continue taking the meds. Now, my question is, how long before must I stop taking the meds for mdma to work more or less at full effect. I have read that the half life of cepralix is between 1-3 days. Secondly, if i discontinue the meds to the point that the mdma is fully effective, will it take a long time to "get back on it" or will it work faster seeing that I had been taking them before? Basically id like to know if it is possible to stop taking the meds for a while, roll, than go back on them and have everything be hunky dorey.

thanks

Its not a good idea to just stop taking your meds just to roll because after a certain time it turns into an "addiction" of sorts and your brain will require you to taper down the dose depending on how long you are on the meds. Im not familiar with Cepralix but I was on 20mg/day Prozac when I first started rolling and it worked somehow. But it is not recommended due to the increased risk of seizures and can basically be a waste of good MDMA.

If youve been put on meds, then its because you actually need them (or just have a script-happy doctor) but I could be wrong since I dont know you.

So now, if youre wondering about rolling after youve been taken off the meds, then thats different. The longer youre on the meds, the more they affect your brain and increases the time between being taken off meds and being able to roll. Some say it can be anywhere between a few months to over a year, but once again it depends on how long youre on the meds.

Certain psychedelics such as LSD that act on serotonin might be dimished, but I have no experience with psychs while on Prozac so I honestly dont know.

As Bsiren said, its not smart and research is a must.

I remember reading somewhere that the length of time you've been taking an anti-depressant is directly related to how long you have to abstain from the antidepressive medication in order to feel any sort of effects from MDMA. But I can't for the life of me remember how long you're supposed to wait, or where I read it. :\

Regardless, as others have said, it is a bad idea to discontinue your meds for the sole reason of taking MDMA.

ive been on cipralex for three months and hove tried to roll recently on two tabs of e that had did a number on me six months earlier. The effects were only about 15 % while on my medication. I,ve also tried 6 apb, 5apb methylone meopp mec amt, while on 10 mg cipralex. All Garbage! Im weening myself off because now im more depressed... Do some more research before trying drugs while on anti-depressants. I wish i would have
